Say if you used legendary maju garzett during a duel in duellinks and your opponents used relinquished won't relinquished have the same atk points if you absorbed legendary maju garzett or will it remain 0

? Attack monsters are treated as having an original attack of zero. Relinquished will gain zero attack when it absorbs Garzett
Does it works? Cuz I know that the modified Attk points won't hold it up if the monster is change between fields (spell/trap zone in this case) and the effects of Maju couldn't keep on if he isn't in the monster field.
