It was daybreak. The sun was coming up, and the morning mist rolled gently upon the ground. Setalia and Radis had eventually ended up camping inside the caravan for the night, as it was too late at night to try and navigate the forest. So they parked it off the side of the trail, and slept for the night
Setalia was just waking up, bloated and tired. She decided to go and bathe in the creek, as she hoped it would rid her of this disgusting feeling. The land between the forest and the creek itself was about 30 feet from each of the forests, which would leave her quite a bit in the open. She decided to follow the creek a little bit to find a nice, secluded waterfall. She was successful in her attempt, and enjoyed a nice wash under the crisp water. The water felt fresh and pure as it ran down her skin. She decided to get out, but just as she was just toweling off with her somewhat "homemade" silk cloth, she saw something rifling through her bag on the shore. It didn't seem to know Setalia was there, but Setalia was more than aware of this apparent thief. Luckily, Setalia never goes anywhere without her trusty dagger strapped to her thigh ( even when bathing ). So she sprang upon the thief without hesitation. She pinned it to the ground, with her knees and a pair of hands holding it down, with another holding her dagger against his throat. Now that she was up close and personal, she got a good look at the offender. She was surprised from what she saw when she got closer to it. It had shining, black eyes, almost as if they were a pair of midnight black pearls. It was a lighter shade of purple, with the overall shape of a pear. It looked almost like a tick on two legs. From what she'd gathered, she saw that it was an ettercap. She had heard stories of the other worshippers of Lolth, the spider god. She was never a big fan of Lolth herself but- "HEY!!". Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the ettercap and his- "GET OFF OF ME!!!" ...Like I was saying, she was interrupted by the- "SERIOUSLY GET OFF OF ME!!!"...... The point is that she was surprised. She tried asking him what he " thought he was doing with her supplies?" He was silent, and looked away from Setalia almost instantly and started what seemed to be blushing. She tried asking again, she got the same result. She took one of the four hands that wasn't restraining him, and slapped it across the face, to which he replied with a sharp and shrill "Ow!". " Okay okay, I'll tell ya'! But please, cover up first!" Then Setalia instantly realized that the towel she had as she sprang out was no longer there, and made a mad bolt for the clothes she had in her bag, leaving the ettercap sprawled on the ground. She was getting dressed behind a tree, but made sure he never left her sight. After she took the time to get dressed, she went back to interrogate him.
So after a while, he ended up apologizing for the attempted burglary, and told her some interesting information. He was apparently part of a tribe of ettercap, but he didn't agree to their barbaric and destructive outlooks. So he gathered his (and a few other peoples) things and left. After a long tragic stein of events, he found this place, and made a home in the trees above the waterfall. He was low on supplies, then he saw her, and went through her things to try and find something he could use. Setalia felt sorry for him, and decided to show some pity. So she showed him how to set up traps for himself out of things he could find nearby. She also gave him a few rations she could scrounge from the carriage. A few hours later, they finished up their little talk, and the ettercap gave her his thanks. They said their goodbyes, and Setalia walked back to the carriage, and woke up Radis. All she wanted to do was talk about that little buggaboo she met, but she knew it wouldn't be the best idea what with his "holy duties" and all that. So they just are some breakfast and travelled on their merry way . And as they left the river bank, she couldn't help but stare towards the end of the creek.
