Hello Friends

We have an event on the way. We call it The Arda Olympics. What is that, you ask? I'm going to answer this question in detail, so if you want to know more about it, please read this blog until the end carefully.

Olympics

We as the Leaders and Curators of this unique Community decided that we should replace the Elvish League with another competition which is general and includes the all in the community. As most of you know, some haven't ed a house yet, and the League was only about the house . However, we have who have not ed houses but really want to participate the activities as well. So the good good news is we made this happen by the Olympics.

How to ?

Well, You can a group then invite your friends to you or just a group individually. There are five groups which have a maximum of five . That means the Olympics can have a maximum of 25 .

Two weeks before the competitions begin, should announce which group they want to work with. Each group has its own Chat room and they will be added to the group to discuss their plans, how to work, and when they can be online for their activities.

They can vote for a member in their group to be their Captain, similar to a football team.

The Host (Eru illúvatár) chooses your opponent randomly.

How we do it?

The Tasks:

We are going to do the Olympic tasks in ten weeks and four matches between the groups, in order:

First match:( 5p/five points)

1) Make a Quiz (1p)

2) Make a WiKi (1p)

3) Make a blog about any random topics you want. (1p)

4) Make a blog about any random topics you want. (1p)

5) Make a blog about any random topics you want. (1p)

Second match: (5 points)

1) Do an Elvish Challenge (1p)

2) Do an Elvish Challenge (1p)

3) Do a Dwarfish Challenge (1p)

4) Do a Hobbit Challenge (1p)

5) Do an Orcish Challenge (1p)

Third match: (five points)

1) Make a Poll (1p)

2) Make an Artwork blog (1p)

3) Make a fan fiction blog (at least 3 paragraphs ) (1p)

4) Make a Blog and describe a City in Arda ( at least 3 paragraphs) (1p)

5) Make a description blog about a book (1p)

Fourth match: (5 points)

1) Make a blog about a clan (1p)

2) Make a blog about a Place (1p)

3) Make a blog about a Creature (1p)

4) Make a blog about a Food (1p)

5) Make a blog about a Movie Actor (1p)

Fifth Match: (5 points) in case it is needed.

1) Answer five given questions/riddle . (5p)

Note: Each item has one point. Overall 5 points for each week and whole process (Olympics competitions) has 20 points for each group.

The points will be added to the number of likes before next week match begins and this will be their score as results of the match. I should mention the Olympics blogs won't be featured until the match ends.

Please use #Task in your blogs so we can find them easier and faster.

What are the Groups?

We decided to Use Istari names. Five groups with five different names and Colors.

The groups are : Olorin (Gandalf), Curunir (Saruman), Aiwendil( Redagast) , Alatar and Pallando.

The Colors are: Grey (Gandalf) ,White (Saruman) ,Brown (Redagast), Dark Blue (Alatar) , Light Blue (Pallando).

How to ?

Just Comment below this blog and let me know which group do you want to . I will add you to the group as soon as I can.

Arena

There's also an Arena which is a bigger group includes all of the Chapions from all groups. Just for talking and knowing each other.

What kinds of competitions will they face?

The competitions contain two main activities:

1. Variety of Challenges

2. Arda Questions

Challenges

The Challenges are similar to the current challenges we already have, for example Elvish Daily Challenges, Dwarfish Challenges, Hobbit Challenges, Artwork Challenge, Language Challenge, Ice Breaker Challenge, new designed challenges making blogs, polls ,and so on.

They will discuss these activities in their group to who can/should do what activity later.

Questions

The questions are generally about the Arda world, Languages, Tolkien Works, the Characters in the Movies or books, Events, Places, Creatures, etc.

So they will be easy and simple for everybody to answer. We Ask questions when two groups get same points in the process. We use questions as a second option.

What are the Rewards?

Points:

If winner is in a house (community houses) he/she earns 150 points for first place, 100 points for second place, and 70 points for third place.

That means if the three winners are of the same house, for example Númenor, the points they gain go to the house. For example:

Lets say that three people from Númenor the Olympics.

A s the Olorin group

B s the Curunir group

C s the Aiwendil group

If the Olorin group win first place, A earns 150 points for Númenor.

If the Curunir group win second place, B earns 100 points for Númenor and so on.

Medals:

We give you Golden/Silver/Bronze medals under your title in your profile So be written in the history that you won a medal in Arda Olympics Once.

Coins:

The first, second and third group get Coins in Order 20/15/10 Coins as rewards.

Extra Rewards:

Winners Can Choose an emoji to be add under their profile title as extra rewards.

Note: As I mentioned before, despite your house or if even if you're not a member of a house, you can whichever group you want in the Olympics.
