Omg hi guys uh jeez I'm going nuts. Time for my thoughts on the Ithica saga!! (I cried stimmed and screamed yes)
The Ithaca Saga is nothing short of a masterpiece, telling a tale that has resonance, quite well, within the hearts of many. Even the cast cried. At the very heart of the saga, there is Odysseus. His voice, dark and murderous, PERFECTLY captures the essence of a man who has been in the fires of suffering and loss. There is no hesitation, no room for mercy left inside of him—only this one, relentless drive to return to his wife. Everything he does, from the brutal to the cunning, has one driving force: his all-encoming love for Penelope and the life they shared together. The soul of the story comes in through this love, through this bond between Odysseus and Penelope.
It's not just a romantic ideal, but it's a deep, profound connection that transcends the physical to become spiritual-a union of two halves of the same soul. No place is this more evident than in 'Would You Fall In Love With Me Again?' This song doesn't just justify his actions; it shows you so much more behind them: a true bond of two halves of each other's souls.
Odysseus's journey is more than one of survival or heroism; it testifies to how far a person will go for love. It is because of this desperate need to get back to Penelope that he sacrificed all, using his guile and being cruel. She was also not a simple bystander in her staunch loyalty and in wit. As Penelope clings to Odysseus and can hold their world together during his absence, she is just as much the hero in that respect as he is.
The Ithaca Saga reminds us that theirs is not a love based on fleeting ion but one built on an unshakeable foundation of trust, resilience, and understanding. A love that survives across time, through war, and through the darkest of trials-a love as immortal as the gods themselves.
The Ithaca saga made me cry. And it made many others cry, I'm sure.
