'So hi, no this is not too help your human relationship but the relationship between you and your horse- now I don't have my own horse but I do have a really close relationship with my favourite horse! This works for me but I don't know if it will work for you :3
:small_orange_diamond: 1 "say hi"
nope, I'm not joking- it might sound a bit weird but you should always say hi to your horse when you arrive at the stables, it actually makes your horse more aware of your presence! If you do this every time, the horse will actually notice when you're not there :o
:small_orange_diamond: 2 "muck out with the horse"
this might not work for everyone, it depends on what you use for the floor- but mucking out while your horse is in the stall can help with bonding + it's better than being alone.
:small_orange_diamond: 3 "leading your horse"
instead of walking your horse of while sitting on its back jump of and lead it around- it releases the weight on the horses back + you get to stretch your legs and while walking you can pet their muzzle and tell them 'good job'
:small_orange_diamond: 4 "respect"
if you're horse is a snapper or biter, or lifts its leg towards you, you should tell it 'hey! Quit it!' As quickly as possible, not minutes after, and if it doesn't bite/snapp/lift it's leg in the same situation as it did before you should compliment and pet your horse, they will realise they get a better reaction when their nice and usually they quit the snapping/biting/lifting of leg after a while :)
:small_orange_diamond: 5 "compliments"
it's always important to compliment and pet your horse when it doesn't go, they will realise that when their good they get a friendly and positive reaction.
:small_orange_diamond: 6 "be alone"
You sometimes needs some time alone together, you can take a trail ride, a simple lead or maybe just take a good brush up- it's a great time for bonding and just relaxing with the creature you love!
:small_orange_diamond: 7 "talking"
talk to your horse, tell it about your day, ask it how it's doing, tell them how much you appreciate them or just rant about something, horses are great listeners and will likely listen too every word you say even if they don't understand you :3
[thats all I have for now :ribbon: any suggestions?]
