this post has some filler spoilers for fairy tail

Alzack isnt one of the main characters in Fairy Tail but hes one of my favorites. The qualities he has as not just a person in fairy tail, but as a partner and a father, make him what I believe is the second top bachelor in the entirety of Ishgar (behind ichiya of course).

The first time we see Alzacks amazing perrsonality is the episode where the Thunder

Legion attacks the fairy tail guild during the Magnolia Town's annual Harvest Festival and has evergreen turn all the ladies to stone (those who participated in the Miss Fairy Tail Contest). Alzack was the first to fall into one of freeds dark enchantments and fought both jet and droy to save bisca from her stone imprisonment. He's willing to betray his comrades to protect his partner.

The second time we see the amazing qualities of Alzack are in the later episodes of Fairy Tail. There are two parts to this, one of these parts isn't specifically shown in the anime but it is mentioned as a memory. On their first ever mission Alzack and Bisca receive a Lacrima resembling a snowglobe a keepsake that they treasured. Even though it was their first ever mission together he cherished those memories for years.

The third time is durning the episode What a True Heart Weaves, Asuka is left in Natsus care as Bisca and Alzack go out on a mission, we learn that when Asuka was younger she was ill, her medical bills were becoming to much to bare for Alzack and Bisca, Alzack suggested that they borrow money from their fellow guildmates knowing that they would understand, instead they both thought it best they sell their prized possession, (the Lacrima snowglobe they got from their first ever mission) saying their daughter was more important than any memories.
