Handsome Perfume: The Power To Rule Nations

Hello FTA. Welcome to my blog. My name is Dante, or Dre as my states. I've been a member here for awhile, and recently decided to hop back on and make a blog. This will be a blog about Ichiya. Yes, I know it may seem like a very unconventional topic to some, but stay with me. It will be peak.

It's been a few years, so while I may be rusty, I hope you enjoy the read regardless.

Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki & His Magic

Ichiya is... a weirdo. Straight up. He is a complete womanizer. And for unknown reasons, Erza is seriously terrified of him. Is it because of his devastatingly handsome looks, or his invigorating parfum, meeeenn?

As a member of the Blue Pegasus Guild, he claims to contain the handsomeness that (mostly) everyone at his guild has. But to his dismay, he doesn’t. (According to a lot of the there, and in general. Yikes.) He wields "Perfume Magic" and is obsessed with scents and perfumes, often sniffing people creepily.

His appearances in the series were actually pretty common since the Oracion Seis Arc. And you can tell that despite his cowardice, he's really loyal to his friends and can get down to business if he wanted to.

He later becomes more of a favorite when he sacrifices himself for my GOAT, Jellal. Twice actually. (Respect.) Now, he's currently married to Anna Heartfilia.

About time he stopped harassing my girl Erza. But seriously, I'm happy for him.

Perfume Magic

If you haven't paid attention, Ichiya's magic is seriously OP. Not only that, he's the sole of this magic. I'm surprised it wasn't used as much throughout the series.

So, imagine this crazy overpowered magic called Perfume Magic, yeah? Ichiya fills a bunch of vials with magical scents, and when he pops the cap, boom! Whichever scent gets sniffed triggers all sorts of crazy spells. We're talking pain relief, poisons, even buffs to strength and speed, wow.

And get this, cause it's such a strong scent, it's super hard to dodge or block. They say this nose candy even helped take down one of those super OP Wizard Saints. (Jura.)

Oh, and Ichiya is MEGA perceptive with his nose. Sniff someone out, and he can guess their magic power just from their natural scent. It's wild.

Perfumes

Pain Perfume, Power Perfume, Armpit Perfume, Poison Perfume, Healing Perfume, Pain Relieving Perfume, Fleet-Foot Perfume Zero Distance Inhalation, (And Most importantly) Handsome Perfume

(Maybe that's why Mashima had to nerf him)

Now that you've been given info about this handsome fellow, I will now dive deeper and explain how this man could potentially take over the world, with his Handsome Perfume.

Episode 226: Fairy Tail of the Dead Meeeenn

Really short summary: Ichiya's perfume causes instant infestation across the town, turning everyone's faces into his own. Natsu saves the day using a deodorant Lacrima. Crisis is averted, and everyone is original again. Magnolia Town is saved.

Or is it?

In this episode, was it really Ichiya's true motive to turn everyone in Fiore into handsome men? Or was he plotting something BIG in that gorgeous head of his? What if this character, none of us ever took seriously was actually plotting in the shadows?

Motivations

Singular Goal: To spread his perfume’s influence

across Fiore.

The world.

It's not hard to misunderstand a character, or even overlook minor details about them. To most people, Ichiya is seen as a gag character and not to be taken seriously until the end of the series. Though, they may be right, what if Ichiya's true goal was not just creating an army of minions on par with his handsomeness, but to rule the entirety of Fiore? Or the world?

It's not impossible to consider as in some cases, the least suspected may turn out to be the greatest of threats.

And let's not forget, this is the same dude who's got Erza, the unshakable Queen of Fairies, straight up shook. Not that I'm saying she ain't the queen she is, cause she is. But Ichiya's got to have something that makes him so irresistible– I mean, unbearable to bring THE QUEEN to her knees. So, there's definitely more to him than just a pretty face and a killer scent.

Imagine if an army of Ichiyas "conquering" led him all the way to the top of the food chain, becoming the most powerful man in all of Fiore. Shit, he might even take on Zeref and Acnologia with his army of pretty men.

How?

Apparently, his obsession with scent comes from him being sensitive to fragrances and whatnot. But maybe that sensitivity is also like, a superpower he's using to control people's minds and make them do his bidding, you know? It's not impossible, given how easy it is to catch the "virus" and all.

All the person has to do is simply sniff their victim (Pause.) and wait for the magic to happen. Catch it once, and it's game over. The only way to conquer it is with some heavy-duty deodorant lacrima or straight up cosplaying in a bunny suit, can you even? OR, you can become the goat like me, and dodge with your immaculate skills. It's wild.

With the right planning and people, Ichiya's evil plan will surely become a success.

Nations will crumble at the might of his almighty pu– Wrong anime.

Now for the real question.

Would Fairy Tail become peak if Ichiya were to take over?

No.

Because it's already peak.
