                                   Siblings Day started as a

                                    holiday to commemorate

                                    Claudia’s lost siblings

                                    whom she cherished so

                                   much. April 10th was her

                                    little sister’s, Lisette’s,

                                    birthday so that’s why she

                                    chose that day specifically.

                                    She founded the Siblings

                                    Day Foundation so Siblings

                                    Day can be turned into an

                                   actual holiday and it worked.

                                    She believed everyone with

                                    a sibling should celebrate

                                    together. Only 3 presidents

                                    have actually ed

                                   this nonprofit organization

                                    starting in 1995, Clinton,

                                    Bush, and Obama. It was

                                    turned into a holiday in 1997

                                   thanks to New York’s

                                    representative,

                                   Carolyn Maloney.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒!

This trio is the most recognizable one in all of fairy tail. Being biologically related isn’t the only form of sibling bonds. Them 3 have come a long way, from people hating Mirajane, to Lisanna’s death, and to the trauma Elfman and Mirajane have to face. They surely need to hug it out. Well that’s one way of celebrating today. The best moment of doing something nice for the other sibling, was when Elfman and Lisanna both learned Take Over Magic so Mirajane didn’t have to feel alone anymore and an outcast, thinking she’s a monster for having the ability to transform into demons. How sweet! If there’s one thing you should take away from them, is that it’s always nice to do something special for your sibling to cheer them up and to reassure them that you care about them. As a trio, they’re the source of each other’s strengths.

Another form of sibling bonds are, long lost sisters. Although once together at a young age, only to be separated for so long, to just finding each other again in Alvarez, is such a long time away. One went on to be a celestial mage of a strong guild, meanwhile being bullied due to her shy and meek personality. The other went on to a dark guild to destroy the world, meanwhile she killed other celestial mages to steal their keys for her own gain of power. Although Sorano regrets everything she’s ever done, she decides to turn a new leaf and Sabertooth if it means she gets to be with her little sister and rekindle their bond. That’s such a sweet thing one would do for their sibling. To start a new life together and leave the past behind. She is now very caring towards her. That’s another way of celebrating today! One thing you should take away from here is that there’s always a second chance in life, so whether you screwed up very badly, always apologize and move on.

A more common, but favorite and relatable, form of sibling bond, is when the characters aren’t related not through blood, but through friendship. They just see themselves as siblings. Wendy has always looked up to Natsu as an older brother, and that relationship should be talked about more. Before and after the 400 year time jump, she always saw him that way due to his actions of being a kind guy, fearless, and an older role model despite being a knucklehead. No offense. One thing you should take away from them is that if you have someone in your life who acts that way with you and you both feel like siblings despite not being blood related, you still count to celebrate today and to do what siblings do. So you all deserve a happy day today.

Similar to what I previously stated, they’re brother by bond, not blood. This has been the case before and after the 400 year time jump. Before, they trained together and they always took part in meeting other dragon slayers whenever their dragon dads had meetings. After, they ed together in Sabertooth to form the Twin Dragon Slayers of Sabertooth, as they’re the only dragon slayers in the guild, and their brotherly bond has been rekindled. Whether it’s from teasing and name calling, to caring about each other despite having opposite personalities. Kind of like yin and yang. Funnily enough, before and after, they’ve always respected and idolized Natsu and Gajeel and see them as their older brothers. Sting to Natsu, and Rogue to Gajeel. One thing to take away is that if you idolize someone like that, it’s totally ok, just as long as it’s consensual. They totally count for today!
