For a minute as I was typing out the title I was thinking “okay, but what actually IS my least favorite firearm? there are so many I can’t stand to use” but uh, hot take: I hate the syringer rifle.
Like, especially now that they’re making it a mandatory quest item in 76 for that Raider at top of the world? I don’t like them. It’s basically a blowgun but more complicated and I’m not a fan. It was an interesting concept in 4, when there was only one you could acquire in the whole game and it was in the basement of that medical building by Fort Hagen with all the bugs (name is slipping my mind sorry) but in 76 they’re literally everywhere. I guess that makes their uniqueness level go down because really, it’s just a pipe weapon that shoots poison darts instead of .38.
And that’s another thing: I hate pipe weapons absolutely despite them. They’re creative, sure. And I think the engineering behind them is neat y’know, to make weapons out of plastic and wood in the apocalypse is a cool concept but I genuinely hate using them and I avoid them as much as physically possible.
