What is "Marvin's wedding gown" a metaphor for? I mean I know it's not literal, so what does it mean?
???

oh... I just interpreted it as that Trina regrets marrying Marvin-- oof
That it was their wedding gown, the one that she wore when she married him.
It’s because Marvin is a homosexual, and homosexuals are often depicted as being effeminate men. Him being depicted in a wedding dress is a statement on how (from Trina’s perspective) Marvin isn’t “a real man” because he is attracted to males.
Sorry I’m bad at explaining things.
It's because he's gay and the stereotypes of gay men are being more feminine, so it's like saying he would be wearing a dress instead of a suit
