Wow, this is amazing work! The details on this are absolutely insane! I can tell a lot of work was put into this, but it was definitely worth it! The redesigns you made for this for your OC and Sephiroth are really beautiful!
Be proud, this is very fantastic work! If you want, can you share more about the backstory of the characters? The universe seems different from the one I'm familiar with, and I'm really interested to hear more!

This is 1 of the Paro based on a hybrid of Hinduism-Buddhism & Ancient Chinese cultures.
It happened where the the Devas (the celestial & deity beings) ruled over the 6 realms with the Garuda race as their subordinates / vassals.
While the Devas were having love-hate relationship with the Asuras race, a Garuda princess whose duty was an asterism working under the Devas (as an expression of obedience & loyalty, the Garuda race has to send all their children, be it birds with royal lineages or juveniles, to serve under the Devas) happened to fall in love with 1 of a young & fearsome Asurendra (Asura king).
So while the Asurendra was trying to gather some artifacts as bride token, the celestial deity of war (who feared his reputation & position would wavered by the young Asurendra if the marriage union works) & the deity of night (the supervisor & ex-lover of the Garuda princess who abandoned her 9 million years ago in order to marry the daughter of the Celestial Ruler Sakra & gained the status of deity, still harboured feelings towards his ex-girlfriend & wouldn't wanna see her marry anyone else) ganged up & plotted against him.
Therefore it lead to what we see in this picture.
Of coz this was just the beginning chapter of the Paro.
