Comparing Units #1

So, it seems some heroes I’ve made in the past have finally made it into the game. Why, let’s talk about that.

Oh boy okie so imma make this a series as long as I don’t run out of heroes :eyes: . Anyway welcome my friends and hopefully you stay to read.

Simply, this series is to make comparisons to the #createyourhero I’ve made in the past to their counterparts that have actually come out.

Let’s begin with our first guest: Nina

Stats

The BST of these two are somewhat similar. FE Nina has a BST of 151 whist mine has one of 160. Makes sense though, I tended to make my units over powered with their stats :yum: .

Either way seems like I hit it nearly on the ball with the stats. HP is exactly the same at 35. I came 5 off with the ATK stat, 32 to my 37. With the defenses I at least haddd the right idea :sweat_smile: . And SPD I’m kicking myself for. I based her stats on her growth stats and my dumb butt didn’t see that 40% SPD GROWTH CHANCE. Either way I actually did pretty good.

Bonus: Her title. Yeahhhhh I like IS’s title better.

Weapons

Same? : Correct

Okie I was pretty hecking hyped when I found out she had Shining Bow. The reason why I gave it to her in my version was mainly because she rekts with it in every play through of mine and well I’m pretty sure she’s one of the best options for it? I’m not sure though

When it comes to the effects of Shining Bow, it’s not too hard getting it wrong. Heroes’ Nina’s weapon is Effective against flying foes. If foe's Def ≥ foe's Res+5, deals +7 damage, whist mine is Grants 2 Res. Targets foe's lower defensive stat (If equal, targets def) (Non-Inheritable). [Of course it’s effective against flying types too :sweat_smile: ] To be honest, I am kinda surprised they didn’t go with my direction. Since Shining Bow targets Res instead of Def in Fates, I felt as if it would just make more sense. However I assume they’d want to keep that effect special to dragons. Both do focus on Nina’s res stat though so I think that’s neat.

Bonus: I like the fact that they made Shining Bow an inheritable weapon. Although I do still stand with my decision as well.

Skills

SAME?!??! : Lol nope

Okie so imma go pretty quick with one. Fortress res? Yeahhh I didn’t really know. Daydream? Actually I’m kinda bummed they didn’t do anything with this. Daydream is Nina’s direct personal skill from Fates. My Nina causes any male heroes in cardinal directions to have a -6 debuff in both defenses compared to Fates +2 damage done and -2 damage received if two male units are nearby. I really would have liked it if they did something like this in Heroes as it would have given some sort of niche to Nina, however I dunno if it would have been possibly? Maybe too hard for a mobile game?

I’m not sure, but I really do think Bow valor could have gone to someone else personally. But hey they made up for it by Spd/Res Link, that’s honestly a dope skill to use and considering my Res- Nina I have, i know it’ll come in handy.

In conclusion...

I’d say I think I did a pretty good job with my prediction. Many aspects were similar between the two and I’m honestly very happy with how IS handled Nina. She’s definitely one of my favorite characters from the franchise and I’d say they did her justice.

Who would I prefer?

Honestly, it’s middle ground. I like her stats in her Heroes stats better along with Spd/Res link skill. However i prefer my Shining Bow and Daydream. Not too good of an example for the start of this series but hey it’s the truth :eyes: .

Hmm...why, it seems I’ll be comparing a maiden of darkness very soon.

Extra Note: I did not mention my Nina’s assist and Heroes’ Nina’s special as they did not share a slot. In better if i compare a hero that has a skill in the special slot for both versions, I’ll talk about it, either way I’m fine with both skills.
