Voting Gauntlet: Round 1 End (Story)

The scene is the waiting room at the order of heroes HQ. A grumpy Sharena plops down on the couch beside a disheartened Fjorm.

Sharena: "I call rubbish! How did my brother beat me? He has the personality of a sack of potatoes!!"

Fjorm: "O-oh...I get that you're upset but come now Sharena, he's still your brother...

Sharena: "It was sneaky gauntlet shenanigans again, wasn't it? I swear, this game is rigged! It's the bunny gauntlet all over again!"

Fjorm: "While it does sting to lose in the first round...I don't think your fans would like to see you this way."

Sharena: "Yeah... you're right Fjorm. At the end of the day, I had fun and gave it my all. I should really try to keep a cool head and accept my loss with grace and dignity."

"FOOLISH STUPID DUMB LOSER HUMANS!!!"

In the room next door, a very angry fell Robin let's her frustrations be known while Ryoma attempts to calm her down.

Robin: "I DEMAND A RECOUNT! THE GREAT DRAGON GRIMA DOES NOT LOSE IN THE FIRST ROUND!!!"

Ryoma: "Robin, please compose yourself! You're behaving in a manner quite unfitting--"

Robin: "Ah @#$& off! It's easy for you to accept defeat because no one expected you to win anyways!"

Ryoma: "H-hey, there's no call for being so r--"

Robin: "Who even LIKES you?? It took you THIS long just to get one measily alt? And you're riding a chicken! How lame is that!?"

Ryoma: "My family thinks I'm coo--"

Robin: "Your family prefers Corrin and we both know it. Oh, and your legendary battle sucks so by extension you do too."

Ryoma: "I-I'm sorry..."

And so Robin resumes trashing the room as Ryoma hangs his head in shame. At least until both Sharena and Fjorm enter the room.

Sharena: "Hi guys! How're you...uh...why is Robin chomping on Virion's leg? And why does Ryoma look like he's going to cry?"

Robin: "Do not ask, foolish human. You will never be able to perceive my methods."

Ryoma: I'm just...a lobster on a chicken..."

Fjorm: "Uhm...well, anyways, we're here to ask who you all plan to in the next round?"

Robin: "FOOLS! IF ROBIN CANNOT WIN THEN NOBODY SHALL!....though...I suppose there is another option."

Sharena: "What does that mean?"

Robin: "Yes, I know who to ! Anna! She is the epitome of human corruption, valuing monetary gain above all else! If she wins then it's proof that humanity is corrupt and must be destroyed!"

Fjorm: ".... that's one way to look at it I suppose. Well, I believe it should be obvious but I'm voting for my sister to win. She deserves this after the writers shafted her when she asked for more sick days."

Sharena: "And I'll vote for my brother Alfonse! Maybe winning a gauntlet will put some pep in his step and he'll be more willing to try these other festive costumes I have stashed away..."

Robin: "And you, worm?"

Ryoma: "I don't know man, I just want to go home. I'll pick Ike because he has a sword too I guess. Whatever."

And with that round 1 is over! Maybe now you'll think more carefully about who wins or loses the gauntlets! Did your unit move on? Or did she suffer the same fate as my poor Fjorm? Till next time, keep saving your flags until the final day!
