I picked up a new rod the other week and spooled it today and took it out to cast for a bit. I also finally convinced my dad to get a baitcaster! He is an old school kind of guy and had alweys used spincaster but he finally decided to try a baitcaster. We got it on sale from cabelas marked down from 100 to 34.99 and you just cant up a deal like that. We also picked up some baits for trout, bass and musky. I havent fished this year yet because all the lakes around here are frozen and I dont ice fish. So for now we I am getting new gear and getting my boat ready for fishing season. I am hoping to get out for the first time hopefully mid March. But for now I will leave you with some pictures of the rods and baits I picked up. Not a bad start to 2019 and with these new rods hopefully some mondos will come my way🤟 :joy: but for now I will leave you with some pictures :point_down:
