The Black crappie is a sunfish found throughout the American south, east, and Midwest. They are found in ponds, lakes, and streams and are accessible to most fisherman in their region. For their size black crappies are voracious predators and prey on minnows, insects, and crustaceans. They may be difficult at times to find but once you find where they are and what they want to eat they are pretty easy to catch. Use small plastic grubs, jigs, small crankbaits, spinners, and soft plastics. Live minbows, worms, and grubs also work well too
