Personality:

Auburn has a very strong personality. She is extremely confident in herself and her abilities and she has every right to be. She won't back down from a challenge. Being a naturally persistent and resilient person have allowed to accomplish many things over the course of her life.

She is also very open, able to make friends with quite a lot of people. However, how deep these relationships are is questionable. She has a couple true friends and that's about it. Auburn is extremely sassy and sarcastic, sporting a very good sense of humor. Though her taste in jokes and teasing methods can be very questionable since they lean towards a very raunchy and inappropriate nature.

Another part of her strong personality, is her flirtatious nature. Auburn tends to flirt with men and women alike that she takes an interest in. This is what she is like on the surface. Though she has not had many intimate relationships, in the few she has had a lighter and more caring nature comes out.

On the job, she tends to come off as more serious. Putting her flirty nature and bombastic charms away in favor of the loyal and professional solider approach. Of course, while she is disciplined, around the right people she can let it slip out.

Appearance:

Physicality:

She is an average height female, standing at 5'8" with a slim athletic appearance. She sports a very toned look due to all her training. Her overall physical appeal is quite high due her natural gifts in some areas along with her athleticism due to her military service.

Special Forces Gear:

Standard Issue Armor

The armor is meant to be a mix of protection and mobility. It provides the operators with advanced protection, while not sacrificing much in the way of mobility. It is more advanced than standard infantry armor, meant to provide room to stow extra necessities in the various pouches and pockets within the gear itself. Ideally, the operative will not need an external pack unless the assignment would specifically call for it.

The helmet comes with an advanced HUD (Heads-Up-Display) which displays a map of the area, external conditions and warnings,and much more. It also possesses a zoom function, acting like binoculars for better recon and intel gathering.

Dedicated infiltration armor:

This armor set shares many similarities with the basic set, including the protection, tactical HUD and mobility. However, it differs in color and form, meant to be used in covert infiltration only.

The armor also comes with an optical camouflage generator. This allows Auburn to activate it from a wrist mounted control and essentially become invisible. Though she isn’t actually invisible by definition. Instead, the field manipulates light and it appears like she is invisible. If she moves too quickly or a person looks closely in the right conditions, Auburn can be seen. Finally, it only protects against normal vision. As of right now it does not hide her presence from thermal scans or vision.

Resistance/Guerrillera Warfare Kit:

This armor is meant to be used when deployed on missions to assist Resistance cells against Union forces. It’s design is meant to provide enough protection and function, without the cost of the standard issue special operations battle gear.

Along with this stripped down gear, the technology used in the previous helmets is also available in a simple eyepiece or type of visor. Which, along with an earpiece, are what Polity Special Forces are usually outfitted with when deployed with various resistance factions.

Typical Civilian Clothes:

A khaki colored baseball cap, very plain in design. She usually wears it backwards and she has a small headset; that she can link to various communication channels.

She wears a white and gray flannel shirt, with a black or white undershirt. Occasionally she might have a tank top on underneath, which is usually black.

Beige or Khaki colored cargo pants. The pants themselves are fairly light and allow for decent movement, as they are slightly baggy; they do not get in her way and the bagginess is not noticeable.

Brown or black boots. Standard combat style boots since she is just used to them.

During cooler temperatures, her undershirt is replaced with a long-sleeve version for the same color, and she wears a white/grey cargo jacket with a hood.

Accessories or extras:

-Holographic display watch, able to link to her phone or other communication channels

-A pair of black, fingerless gloves worn on each of her hands.

-A pair of gold rimmed aviator sunglasses with brown tinted lenses.

-A white and grey scarf that she wears around her neck.

Skills

She is trained in the use of all manner of firearms, able to use anything from handguns to sniper rifles and more effectively. Auburn also has extensive knowledge arts, practicing boxing and Krav Maga. She can be considered an expert in all three areas of gun-play, unarmed combat and knife fighting.

Mixed in with her firearms and melee combat training, because of her role as a special operations operative, command forced her to become familiar and accustomed to the various vehicles that are in use by The Vanguard and Polity forces. This means that she has run and continues to run training simulations and regiments centered around various transport ships, ground transport vehicles, and the most common ground force unit, the Strider mech. While she is certainly not an expert pilot, her skill with one is nothing to laugh at. And it is mainly there in case there is a mission that involves them and she is needed in a pinch. The mainstay of her combat is still boots on the ground with a rifle in her hands.

Finally, as a special operations operative she brings a very different mindset to the table. Her ability to adapt to situations, critical think and problem solve in the field are also very key to her success. Combine this, with all of her physical skills, and you have an extremely efficient and deadly operator at your disposal.

Weapons

Rifle

While she is trained in the use of many different weapons and platforms, there a few staples that can be picked out as part of her load out. First is her standard rifle, which is a FN SCAR or FN Special Operations Combat Assault Rifle. The rifle is modular and thus is able to be adapted to a variety of circumstances depending on the requirements. The rifle she wields from the SCAR family is the L variant, which falls under the role of an assault rifle. It is chambered in 6.5mm caseless grendel (6.5x39mm) rounds, sporting a 30 round magazine, 31 with a full magazine and one in the chamber.

Her favorite set up is either an EOTECH holographic sight or a simple RDS (red dot sight) with a fore-grip, and a suppressor if necessary. The version being either the CQC or Standard depending on engagement range and mission.

However, it is not uncommon to see some form of higher magnification scope like an ACOG if she is fighting in an area with longer sight-lines where the EOTECH or RDS simply wouldn’t be as effective. Alternatively, a type of magnifier for her EOTECH or RDS is quite a boon for adaptability at various ranges.

Handgun

Second is her handgun, which is a Sig Sauer P320 modular combat pistol. Her version was chambered in the traditional 9x19mm parabellum round, due to needing more stopping power it was adapted and upgraded to instead be chambered in .45 A.

However, the downside is she lost magazine capacity, only having a full magazine of 10, 11 total with a full magazine and one in the chamber. Along with several attachments like a suppressor or tactical light. This handgun has served her since the start of her special forces career and has never left her side since.

Knife

Her knife is a standard issue military bayonet style knife, capable of both cutting or stabbing. Not her favorite type of knife but she has used one for years now and has grown accustomed to it.

Backstory:

Auburn was born in the state of Texas, in what is now Polity controlled North America. Before hand, it was clearly the United States, and a value system very similar to the one of United States still exists.

She was born to a normal family. Her mother held a job within a finance firm, while her father served in the military. His main stay of service was indeed with the Vanguard, where he acted on the ground as a Strider pilot. Her mother, Russet, despite her job, found ways to stay home with Auburn when possible. It was largely a one parent home until her father could have leave time.

The girl’s early life is not much to take about. She went to school and grew up like any kid. Just in her case, she did grow up around firearms and military culture due to her father.

However once she got to her teen years, Auburn started to really come into her own. It was around this time that her rather bombastic and flirty personality started to develop. She quickly established herself as a girl who enjoyed parties and simply being around people. Auburn also really started to take self defense seriously, having her father train her in firearms and taking classes in Boxing and Krav Maga. Her dream, at this point, was to the service like her father. And so when she wasn’t out having a good time or doing her school work, she was practicing whatever she could related to shooting or martial arts.

Once she came of age, Auburn did indeed the service. However, unlike her father, she was recruited into the Special Forces instead of standard soldiering. Early on in her career she was picked out for her rather insane reaction time and intelligence. Simply put, she had a knack for this kind of stuff.

Her early career as a private, was mostly filled with war games due to the downtime. At this point she was only 19 with a long time in the service ahead of her. From the ages of 21-25 she saw action with various skirmishes and operations against Union forces in various proxy nations around the world. Steal intelligence here, destroy a forward base there, and more. She performed in all sorts of roles from a stealth operative, to a designated marksman, and she even found herself in some full on firefights while in small towns or villages.

By age 26, she had left a rather good impression on the higher ups. Her skill as an operative alone had garnered her promotions. But as she started to climb through ranks it became clear she would need to establish herself as a leader. And so she started with taking over command of her squad once their commanding officer was killed by a Union sniper. She was the second on command as an NCO, being a Sergeant. Their Special Forces unit lost half its . But Auburn and the remaining 3 managed to complete the mission of destroying a Union Spider Tank depot. After returning to base and being debriefed, she was recommended for officer training.

Now, at age 27, Auburn holds the rank of Lieutenant. She is still serving in the military and still in the Special Forces. Due to the Union making their moves, she finds herself deployed more and more to assist Vanguard Operations, whatever they may be.
