More Ajaw theory 🧃

Here I'll just talk about my analysis and theories mainly, as well as hypothesis provided with ss from Kinich's trailer because I'm insane.

So on some of my previous posts, I've talked about how I came to think Ajaw is the one holding the title "Hermit of Myriad of fates" which means "Hermit with a thousand fates" for those who don't know. With that I thought he might have been quite a creative individual, as in, for his own motives, plans or whatever he did in the past as one of the 13 dragonlords, he excluded himself from the other lords while having "a thousand lives".

I'm not sure how to explain, but based on Kinich's trailer we can see a lot of different forms Ajaw can take. In the beginning of the trailer, we can see a first form for Ajaw which looks humanoid and very lizard-isk. He appears to not have any tail, horns or wings like a dragon so this is probably just one form out of many.

Quickly we have a weapon selection, which, yes it is a reference to overall video games with the selection of characters etc. But these changes are probably able to be done thanks to Ajaw's power.

Then starts a full numeration of his forms, one being a canon-like dragon head, then the snake from the snake game, the next is a Pac-Man reference, then we switch back to his more known form in the current time. But then we see the form selection for Ajaw.

This selection just above makes it interesting, going back to the "Myriad of fates" thing, I immediately thought of all those forms. Would it mean Ajaw either knows something about outside of Teyvat, like different universes and such ? Or was it for himself to live different "lives" and learn different things by himself to gain power.

I may overthink or overanalyze, but these forms are hopelessly not just here to sit pretty without lore.

As for the "?" button selection, I think it's either for his form in the ultimate, or it's to randomize a selection of forms amongst many more we cannot see because of how overwhelming they are for the system.

His last form which I just mentioned, is the ult form.

In the screenshots above, we see it's a pretty simple form but slightly bigger than his small pixel form. I took these three different screenshots specifically for his size. Though it is probably just for the trailer and cinematographic purposes, the change in his size is massive. Though perhaps he may be able to change his size, depending on the Phlagiston in the bracelet Kinich wears.

From the lore, we learn that the old Phlagiston during the era of dragons, was in fact a hold of data. But ever since Celestia came and took over Teyvat, they have replaced it Ith Leylines and rendered the original Phlagiston to simple "lava". Though it seems the Phlagiston in Kinich's bracelet still has that data holding ability which makes it possible for Ajaw to use his powers with full control despite being sealed. That data also has all of the dragon civilization's knowledge, and with Ajaw being from that era, it would mean he holds probably the "truth" of Teyvat.

Though, I'm not saying he's the key to everything or is some form of god. (Heck the Archons shouldn't be called gods..) But, I will suggest that Ajaw was sealed because Celestia or the first humans, knew he would be able to stop them. Kinich only confirms us in his story that Ajaw has a wicked energy and that we could feel the immense power and threat from the artefact he was sealed in.

The dragonlords were described as foolish, power hungry poloticians during one of the Little one's quests by Kukulkan.

But as I mentioned much earlier, Ajaw might have been the "Hermit" of the dragonlords. Meaning he excluded himself from the others. Also, though Ajaw may be annoying and overly loud and exasperating, he does show some of his knowledge in random voicelines with Kinich, while also showing how awfully stubborn and specific he is when it comes to his tastes. Though we can see some weird sentences like "Spit it out, you greedy snake! Some of that was meant for me!". It does sound disgusting but I thought of -How to train your dragon- for some reason, with the scene where Toothless spits out the fish to share it with Hiccup. So I might take this too much at heart but what if dragons back then had a culture with similar manurism depending on their ranks ?

Going back to his title, he calls himself the ruler of the nation of flames a lot. Though "Ajaw" means "Lord" in the civilization of Maya, might I add, "Kinich Ajaw" or "Kinich Ahau" is the Mayan Sun god. Which I find interesting overall since the pyro souverain died millennias ago as well. Then, if anyone Ixlel, the dragon statue lady we talk to during another of Little one's quests.

She happens to be most likely have her name taken from the Mayan goddess of fertility Ixchel. Though there's little proof for that of course. But the goddess Ixchel is said to be Kinich Ahau's consort. Which, either meant she was his wife or for someone who defended the same ideas, so an associate.

In genshin's case, we know Ixlel was an associate of the one she called K'uhul Ajaw in the quest. It's not sure if she meant the Ajaw we know, or another.

Overall, I have a theory with little sense, but what if, since there has been no new pyro dragon, as the original has been in a sleeping death before getting corrupted and then killed completely by traveler and Mavuika. Would it mean that there would be an ascension process ? As in, if the pyro dragon had an heir, they would be the new pyro dragon, but if there's no heir, the highest ranked dragon would take the role. And since the only last dragon with the closest rank to the souverain is Ajaw as a dragonlord, would it mean that he could take the "thrown" of Natlan ?

So this is all of my things, I guess it's still in work and all. Tell me if you have anything more to say, add or whatever.
