In this blog I will be going through the events of that evening (20th/21st February), who the hacker was, what was done to prevent them, and where we are now.

Midnight GMT, 7pm EST, 8am CST

A normal evening in GDA Official. Then, suddenly, this guy, called GDHacker, appears threatening to hack people's s. He then makes a list of people to hack.

I immediately try to do something about it. I hide his profile and disable his first post. I leave the list for others to see.

I create an emergency alarm post, with the link to his list in it.

Unfortunately, there are no leaders on until about half an hour later, so he gets away with a long list of GD names.

A stressful half-hour later, Dire and Epi come online. Epi immediately bans the hacker, but it doesn't do much - GDHacker already has enough information.

AminaTERD gets hacked, this confirms that the hacker is not bluffing.

A short while after VinnyPixel gets hacked, with messages and levels popping up in their .

1am GMT, 8pm EST, 9am CST

The situation is taken to Discord. A voice chat is held and around 15 people .

The hacker creates another , and is found and banned.

I ask Nuclear Nacho's server, HBD, for help. The server responds sarcastically and Nacho says he cannot do anything about it.

I come up with a plan - everyone should change their name. This seems to work, as no-one was hacked afterwards.

The G9 official chat freaks out very bad.

2am GMT, 9pm EST, 10am CST

Another message was posted onto Vinny's , this time warning of MISAKI being hacked.

The message is spread to GDA Spanish. At this point, people were getting tired and terrified of this risk of being hacked.

Blocky's gets hacked. Nothing serious apart from a name change and loss of control over the . Blocky makes a new acc.

Meanwhile, I find a guy called GDHacker on GD; Zanx gets ready to hack him with the hack tool the hacker used. There is no confirmation as to whether that is THE hacker, but we're still doing a favour.

The situation begins to calm down.

3am GMT, 10pm EST, 11am CST

Block yells a message in the chat. This is usual for his character and EPC is suspicious.

However, he does that it is him, first showing his face and then changing to his other .

4am GMT, 11pm EST, 12pm CST

The situation is near resolved. I stayed up for about 4 hours from midnight till 4 in the morning. People like Mid, Vinny and Zanx carry on and I go to sleep (idk after that, but it seems like everything was fine).
