Last time on Geometry Log (Literally over 3 years ago:

-I got 11% on 8o

-I listened to a song or something

- I beat a noclip level (I was insane)

GD LOG UPDATE:

I am going to only make one of these every time something actually important happens. This will summarise everything that has happened since I stopped playing GD in 2021 (and might do again).

What Has Happened? (summarised)

I think it’s time I gave an explanation for why I left. I stopped playing GD back then because of multiple things. To summarise:

- GD becoming mentally straining

- Burnout

- Not improving quickly

- Boredom

- Real life events

- Loss of all remaining ion

End of Mobile Play

My brother is a good brother. He bought and gifted me Geometry Dash on Steam so that I could play better and stream with it. I, though, had only a school computer that ran like garbage, so I could not play properly.

Gaming Laptop

Fast forward 2 years to February, 2023. I was given a new laptop. It isn’t the best computer, but it is good enough to be able to ACTUALLY RUN GAMES. It’s the first one I’ve ever had that can do that.

Nine Circles

I decided to have a little fun with the new computer. I played quite a bit impulsively, and this became a habit. I ended up trying to beat Nine Circles. As soon as my friend heard about this, he started trying to beat it as well.

My Friend

My friend—unlike me—had been playing on and off consistently for the 2 years I was on break. He played until I think his skill was almost definitely more refined than mine (I just came from a break). Him making attempts at Nine Circles at the same time as me felt a bit cruel, but I don’t make his decisions, so ultimately, I didn’t object.

I Win the Nine Circles Race

I ended up beating Nine Circles in 3,461 attempts—178 less than him—and a few minutes before he did. We were in the same call, and my attempts were less consistent than his. He was making more progress, so I was sure he would win. But out of nowhere, my attempts started becoming critical, and they were consistently reaching near the end of the wave.

By the end, I beat Nine Circles before he did, but I didn’t care. I was just tired.

New Motivation

By this point I was thinking of my 2021 victory over CraZy, which WAS my first Insane Demon (now Hard Demon). The fact that it got dropped to Hard Demon annoyed me greatly at the time, so I decided to make up for it by getting a new Insane Demon.

Supersonic

Supersonic was the level I decided on, and I started making quick progress. The first day, I reached around 40 percent, but those sections were the least of my worries. Due to real life events, my grind was

impeded. It left me with play sessions averaging 10 minutes, no time to improve.

My estimated time to complete it went down from a week to a month.

The night I beat it, I had spent 2 hours playing. It was 12AM. I was so exhausted, I wanted to fall asleep.

I’m glad I didn’t, because I beat it that night (in roughly 10,300 attempts).

What I’m Doing Now

1 fortnight ago, I made attempts at Windy Landscape. I hate the pre-drop, it’s the hardest part of the level. That doesn’t mean I hate the level. It’s actually probably the most fun difficult level out there. I have been getting much more consistent lately, especially today. If I get even a few minutes to practice tonight, I could beat it.

Future Plans

-Beat 2 more Insane Demons after Windy

-Beat an extreme by the end of the year

-Get good enough to beat a List Demon by the time I quit.

See ya.
