~Reformed Feature Post Standards~

So since the featured posts have been rather bland lately, we've decided to set a clear standard as to making a featured post!

So, since alot of the posts on here are around demon completions, I have decided to make an example showcasing the new rules, in a blog reviewing a demon!

Let's start with a basic blog such as the one in the one in this image.

Rather basic and won't get a feature currently, but let's change that.

So the first rule for a featured post is

Use Background and images

Using a background image is near mandatory as it make the post bearable to look at more than once. It generally makes the post look more polished. As seen comparing the old image to this.

An image in the post is needed. The best thumbnails would be ones that aren't just the completion screen. Even if you edit the level and get a part of it in a screenshot it'd be better. Or you could be creative and make a thumbnail through PicsArt or Legend.

All that's necessary is an image but this will increase the chances a bit for me and some of the other mods.

Don't forget to show attempt proof using images in a demon completion video!

Space out the post.

A post won't be featured unless it has 3 - 5 medium length paragraphs.

So now instead of being all clumped up, it's spaced out and looks better in general!

You can also use images to make a part of a post to give it a reference or show the reader what you are on about!

Use Formatting

You know how I said the bg was the most important?

Well this is equally as important.

Bold text "[B]"

Should be used to show important text or in a dividing line to change the thing talked about. This makes the text bigger.

Italic Text "[I]"

Italics are mainly used to emphasise a point in a part of paragraph. This makes the text lean to the left a bit.

Centre Text "[C]"

Centre text is a way to make a paragraph even out and look better. It makes the whole post look better. It puts the text in the centre like in Microsoft Word.

Underline "[U]"

This can be used with Bold text to seperate paragraphs. Don't use it by itself. You can but it does make it look like a link to a website or video. It puts a line underneath the text.

Strikethrough "[S]"

Quite honeslty this is rarely used outside of sarcasm. It covers up the text.

If you don't use these a bit, we won't feature your post.

So now that you know the general rules to get a featured post, why don't you use them and make a worth while post now!
