Maurice Jaye Wilkson, 43, and a sagittarius, though i feel like Zodiacs don't define you as a person.
🧿How long have you known the band/How did you meet them?
:boom: known 'em since just about the beginning! I've known Stuart the longest, however, at the age of 15, I moved from Brighton to Crawley to be a bit closer to the Wilkson family, attended the same Catholic school as 2-D and that's where you think me and him became friends but we didn't become friends until we were 16 when I was looking for a job and came across Uncle Norms Organ Emporium! figured I get a job there to get some good money yeah, on the first day, I was working with Stuart and from there we became good friends. it wasn't until around 1999-2000 when I met the band for the first time.
🧿 What’s your career or goal career?
:boom: my career at the moment is being a camerawoman and director. though I have worked as a Radio Host and was in a band called The Dopey Smiles with my childhood friends. strangely enough, the house I was staying in for The Dopey Smiles was the same house in Saturn Barz! my favorite creature with the one with an arm stickin' out its eye!
🧿 Who’s your biggest er!
:boom: My dad is. he really loves my work and loves me and i'm glad for that. it makes me and him happy. i didn't have a mom and she died giving birth to me so he's all i have and vice versa to him. he's a really nice dude.
🧿 Any romances you care to share?
:boom: ah yes. I'm datin' Stuart. and have been since October 2020! we've dated in the past but we just weren't ready, and at that point, it was the 2nd worse mental state I've ever been in. the breakup didn't cause it I don't know what did, one day I was just depressed and I was like that for years, Plastic Beach made it worse. anyway, Stuart is a great guy. he may be dumb and an asshole but I love him. we're just assholes together.
🧿 Is it true you and Murdoc are in a fight?
:boom: ehhhhhhhhh I would say so. your relationship with each other went to the 10th circle of hell on Plastic Beach just because Murdoc didn't respect my wishes of not wanting to be with Gorillaz again. I said it in 2006 and meant it I dunno why that fuckwad didn't listen to me. in 2019, I tried my best to refix this whole hellhole between us since Murdoc was out of jail, we apologized and became friends again and he earned my trust.....for a whole year, after Aries, he broke my trust by truth serum-ing 2-D so I punched him in the face and that broke our friendship. we're trying to put things back together, we've started to do what we did in Phase 1, be in his room shiting around while listening to music, you can thank me for suggesting to put Bikini Kill on his recent G-Mix since Bikini Kill is honestly one of my favorite bands.
🧿 Favorite song the band has come out with?
:boom: ohhhhh boy, i'm stuck between their recent song "Valley of the Pagans and their other song "O Green World". i both love the songs i do. but i think Valley of The Pagans wins the most for me because hey, i helped write it and Beck is on it! fuckin Beck! i used to listen to him alot!
🧿 what's with the hair?
:boom: it's my natural hair color. i'm a dirty blonde. my mom has black hair and my dad had blonde and somehow i got dirty blonde.my hair is actually unique because it formed this shape when one day i was just rolling down the hill and then BAM, hit my head on a rock and now my hair has this bump formation on it.
