Why I think you shouldnt give an artist/writer/anyone coins until they accept your request

Okay, let's think metaphorically for a second.

Your favorite artist is open for commissions. You see there's a big demand, but the commissions still read 'OPEN'. The artist hasn't been online for about 10 hours and you notice the post was made 11 hours ago.

Now, the commissions might not really be open, the person could just be offline and didn't change it yet because they were sleeping or something. If you send them coins in advance for them, you might be backing them to a wall to where they have to do your commission with no choice.

By sending them coins in advance, your request will almost always have to be accepted, and they might have to draw something they are extremely uncomfortable with, because you didn't wait to see if they'd accept your request before you sent them money.

This could also lead to poor work. Sometimes OCs are extremely hard draw, depending on the design. They'll have to draw an OC they know they won't be able to draw well, and you wouldn't be able to know what led to their off-style work. If you request before sending them money, they could inform you that they don't know how to draw an OC of your design yet.

Please, please, just wait for an artist to approve your request before paying them.
