I can’t believe I gotta make this. Okay now everyone has been talking about a certain ad airing on Disney Channel. It states Gravity Falls is coming back on April 2nd. Let me just say this is without a doubt, 100%....

Yes. GF is not returning. In fact, this is VERY out of context.
GF is only returning for RERUNS on Disney Channel.
You see when GF began in 2012, it started off on Disney Channel. It moved to Disney XD in 2014 for season 2. Now it is returning to rerun on DC.
If you follow along to the recent cartoon news, many shows are moving to Disney Channel lately. Star vs the Forces of Evil is going to be airing its 4th (and maybe final) season on DC, Ducktales is moving too and now despite being over, GF is also ing them.
Guys STOP IT
Gravity Falls is not ever coming back for another season. If this was real even Alex Hirsch would talk about it. But he has not. This is nothing but reruns. Disney has a terrible habit of overhyping nothing. If you tune in on April 2nd, all you will see is a rerun.
NO new episodes are coming.
If that was the case there would be a lot of hype and major activity by both Alex, the GF team and more. Also did you ever suspect it odd that GF all of a sudden returns when a graphic novel is on the way?

Forgive me if I sound harsh. I am just sick and tired of hearing "is GF returning" or "is there going to be a season 3?"

This is a rerun ad. GF is only returning to rerun in prime on Disney Channel, the channel it originally called home. GF is just returning home in its later years of reruns. It is not coming back and should never come back.
Do not fall for this.
The ad itself says relive. It is implying to relive the show. Not return. It is not coming back to air new episodes, it is only coming back to rerun.
Sorry if I ruined your hopes. I am just doing this so that you do not go on DC on April 2nd and be left watching an old episode to come back here and yell that you were lied too. Also try doing some research into this before you post something like "GRAVITY FALLS IS COMING BACK". That’s all.

I fully that Alex said something along the lines that he would like to keep some mysteries for a reason. He was a fan once and he knows that once all the questions are answered there is nothing left for you to add. Everything is answered and thats it. Alex didn't want that for Gravity Falls, he wanted to leave us mysteries to figure out ourselves. He was the torch bearer and now he wants to the torch to us. We can choose what happens next.

I agree I never heard or saw Alex say he’s NEVER gonna do season 3 or anything but at the end of the day it’s his choice I’m fine with whatever he dose, wouldn’t it be cool if there was a gravity falls movie.

ikr. For example people say they want Bill to return but what they forget is that if that was to happen the entire finale and all the battle, heartbreak, would have been for nothing. Might as well throw the whole Weirdmageddon trilogy into the garbage then. It was a perfect ending to the show and that is why I NEVER want it to continue ( thats what fanfics are for :joy: ). I gave a huge sigh of relief when Alex said the graphic novel would take place before the finale.
At this moment I only care about how much money I have saved up for the graphic novel :joy:
I swear I'm hyyyyyyyped (failed to get Journal 3 tho. There's no way I'm spending $3000 on a book Q^Q)
