So, I was thinking and, what episode of Gravity Falls was the most controversial? As in, what episode caused the most fandom analysis and talk, be it good or bad (in this case bad I guess).
Whether it be because of something that happened in that episode or the episode itself.
So, here's 5 episodes I personally feel are the most controversial among fans for various reasons listed below but if you have another episode for any reason, comment it below.
Sock Opera: The whole Bipper issue, who was right, who was wrong.
The Love God: Mainly just the shipping.
Roadside Attraction: like love god, for its placement, the shipping and reasoning to exist.
D&MVTF: The apprenticeship thing and the whole who caused Weirdmageddon debate.
Weirdmageddon 2: What happened in the bubble.

that's only because it is
I chose D&MVTF because:
1) the apprentice offer, and
2) the fact that there were more events in this episode over any other episode that were used as the main arguments on both sides in that whole Mabel is a <horrible/awesome> person

I think the love god because Mabel basically forced Robbie and tambry to date for her own desire for everyone to be “happy. (Granted it did work but that’s not the point).
I think roadside attraction got so much controversy for it being a “horrible” episode at the “wrong” time.
