Hello! So, I got this new app on my phone, and I decided to test it out! I chose to trace over an old doodle I made in my notes a year or two ago.
The app is called Autodesk Sketchbook. This took me about 20 minutes.
Here's the finished piece:

Oof. This was a pain to do. Also, to any digital artist out there that may read this, how do you do it? Don't get me wrong, I want to get better at this, but sweet Axolotl, this was difficult. Are there any tips you can think of?
Any at all would be appreciated!
Also, should I color this? I'm not sure if I should.
Thank you for clicking on my post!

It's amazing!
I'd color it!
It looks great :+1:
Thanks!
Here are some tips from me and my own personal experience!
If you want to do digital art I recommend using a computer with a tablet, however if you aren’t a fan of tablets/don’t have one. Then use a bigger device than a phone to draw such as an iPad.
Trust me, I used to draw on my phone but once I got my Wacom tablet everything changed and my digital art grew more than ever.
However if either of those options don’t work, here are some phone digital art tips:
Layers!!
I cannot stress that enough, make a layer for everything! Don’t color it all on one layer. This way if you mess up you can go back and fix it on the individual layer. I make layers for nearly everything. Shading hair? New layer
Shading eyes? New layer
A good way to measure that is if you’re switching to a different color, make a new layer.
Also for a phone, I’d try drawing everything on paper and tracing it because (at least in my case) it is extremely difficult to make original digital sketches on a phone and go from there.
That’s my advice for now! If you have any other questions I’d be happy to answer, especially since I used to use the sketchbook app when I drew on my phone!
Thank you! This helps a lot!
He’s looking good! Will you color him?
Thank you! To be honest, I wasn't expecting people to like him, lol. I might, but it's not a priority.
