explanation for second comic incoming(these are very old drawings):

It's kinda straightforward that Evil M wants to point out that Birthday Mabel is dependent on others and is giving her the agency to actually think for herself than letting others define her, henceforth the "That's for you to decide." As it is him giving her the choice to reflect on it as he knows answering her would not help her condition as again, it is instead going to be based on his answer than her own thoughts, seeing as her individuality during the time as Birthday Mabel seemed to have fractured itself.

But of course I have to add in the little detail of his snark, because it wouldn't be Evil M without a little biting retort(but rather than voicing it out loud, he keeps it to himself).

My explanation for Birthday Mabel is that she's so afraid to lose everyone and everything again, just like normal Mabel is, but in a sense that is heightened due to being left behind(and a hint of being neglected), that she tries to get attention from anyone, leading her to base her worth and own self to the answers others give her of what she should be, so that they would stay with her.

She just never wants to be alone again, that's why she's either seen with Bipper, her close friends —

Or Morty(who in my explanation, is like a remnant of her own old self who wants to be assured that love is forever, as in my analysis, her parents divorced.)

Anyway, the last frame is actually Birthday Mabel voicing that out, but if you aren't aware, that is Evil M's room, if the Trident isn't a given enough(it's a design that came from that non canonical storyboard episode) and basically a picture Mabel(yes, the sane one) gave Evil M, which he had kept for so long(the time frame is unclear in this one), and I think my brain intentionally thought of it as when Birthday Mabel its that she is in fact, dependent, it also reflects him, as in there is some, small part of him that misses the old Mabel, before all that happened. That some small traitorous part of him wishes(haha wishing star...) that the Mabel he knew is still there, somewhere.

Because in some way, it's like seeing a stranger in a familiar face because the person you know isn't kind of there anymore, and if they are, it feels wrong, like only an echo, the best explanation I have for it is like what happened with the Ice King.

Also based on something my friend said: "The day a wish comes true is an impossible thing, that's why you wish for it."

Had to pair a ship that is a wishing star(no one would really need her, she's only there because you have trouble in your life and want to get out of it) and the embodiment of neverending existential nihilism(this is pretty self explanatory, would he even exist if there were a problem with Ricks and their treatment of Morties? To me, he is born an exception, an anomaly and an effect of the Central Finite Curve, he's just waiting for his time to be up.)
