This is so cringy!!!! *screams for no apparent reason*

Hi. So ima finally post these cosplay pics I took of me and my bro like a week ago. I’m probably going to regret this later when I look back at these cringy af photos, but whatever. That is a problem for future me to deal with (me and her don’t get along very well lol).

For Halloween, I convinced my bro to be Dipper so that my Mabel costume could have more validation. We didn’t get recognized very much, but it was still fun. We went tricker treating with Carmen Sandiego, a mediocre cat, a devil thing, a deer, and Bob Ross. Carmen was the one who got recognized the most.

We even did the twin dance a few times (like from Summerween).

Anyways, I got him to take some better pictures with me a week or two ago. He’s two years younger than me, but we’re about the same height, so it worked.

This is my first cosplay, so it’s not that great (also hadn’t washed my hair for a couple of days before the pics, so it looks kinda greasy, ngl. I would retake them, but I’m pretty sure Jasiah (my bro) would murder me if I asked him to put his costume on again).

The sweater looked much closer to the original colors in the example picture on amazon, and the skirt is also a little off in color and shape (I wasn’t comfortable wearing a miniskirt like the one Mabel has in the show; even with this one I’m wearing yoga shorts underneath). Jasiah’s shorts are a bit off in color in design as well. I have blueish gray eyes, but you can’t really tell in any of these pics. Neither of us are wearing makeup, s, or wigs. I have NO IDEA how to use any of that stuff, so it’s a good thing that we both have good hair for the parts. I mean, just look at his hair! It has the perfect dipper floof! I unfortunately forgot to draw Dipper’s birthmark on his head, and I probably could have got his hair to look even better. But whatever. :(

At the last minute before we left to go trick or treating, I slapped some stickers on a paper bag and wrote “Mabel Pines Candy; DO NOT TOUCH!!!” on the side in a glittery gel pen. Luckily, it wasn’t raining like it was last year, and everybody got a pretty good amount of candy. We went trick or treating in a small town, so we hit up almost every house. I am happy to report that we did not run into any mysterious candy monsters seeking vengeance for their abandonment. :)

My white socks kept slipping down, so that was annoying. Also, the Waddles plushy I ordered from amazon was quite disappointing. It’s chin pretty much touches the ground, and the spots on its back are just mirrored! Like, couldn’t they at least remove the extra tiny dot or something???

I took to calling it Imposter Waddles. During math class at school, I tossed him across the classroom to one of my friends (mediocre cat), and of course I got in trouble because I deserved it. Anyway, on my green slip (these things we have to fill out when we get in trouble at my school), I wrote that I got in trouble for “yeeting a waddles”. That green slip disappeared; I have not seen it since.

As soon as all the pictures were taken, Jasiah dumped all of his props in my arms and bolted away on his bike before I could even check to see that any of the pictures were usable.

This whole thing is kinda ironic, considering that he has braces and I don’t (and I know what you’re thinking; I’ll get a picture of him in the Mabel sweater eventually). But we ARE the perfect age for this; I’m 14, and he just turned twelve, so that’s pretty much the closest we can get to the twins’ age in the show with our age gap.
