Description:

This little guy loves pickpocketing the tourists that visit the Mystery Shack using his cute beak, then squawks to scare them away. Dipper swears his squawk sounds like "no refunds" . Compy doesn't share any of his pocketed goods, he simply gathers all his loot and sits on it like a dragon hoarding gold. Then he will hiss at anyone who comes near him.

Compy sure loves Stan follows his "Mama Stan" wherever he goes.

Important Timelines:

July 11:

Gruncle Stan stole a Dinosaur egg from the cavern (featured in "Land before Swine") hoping to hatch it so he can use "it" as a attraction at the Mystery Shack.

Stan has the egg under a heating lamp (Probably because he is too cheap to buy a $20 reptile egg incubator) but that's taking forever. The twins are impatient and think of a idea, they sneak the egg under him as he slumbers. That "creepy old man humidity thing" does the job.

Egg hatches and Compy is born. Dipper thinks it's a Compsognathus , he is correct!

Waddles is terrified of him.

Extra Science side notes:

(Just gotta put these out there because I'm a paleontology geek, not because I'm a hater)

These are mostly nitpicks but still....

1. No shade on my God Mr.Hirsch, since the design is adorable. But shame on Wikipedia for informing him wrong like the stupid source they are for say , and I quote "Consequently, many depictions of Compsognathus show them with coverings of downy proto-feathers. However, no feathers or feather-like covering have been preserved with Compsognathus fossils, in contrast to Archaeopteryx, which are found in the same sediments." as your first result. When so many scientific papers prove that statement FALSE. Their close relatives had them and absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence Wikipedia! Here is a more reputable source as a starting point if you wanna learn more- Link. This page references Wiki where it IS reputable.

2. The Gravity Falls wiki on Dinos is useless and tries to sound as reputable as possible (like saying Pterosaurs aren't dinos- obviously every one knows duh?). They focus on irrelevant information like that instead of proper info. They are useful tho for their show appearances tho it seems.

3. The episode "Land before Swine" features dinosaurs that mostly would have never met in millions (literally) years together in the same spot. My boy Dipper says -"They're trapped inside the tree sap! That's how they survived for 65 million years!" , which is pretty inaccurate considering for example Compies lived about 144 million years ago (more then twice of the suggested date). Another is the Stegosaurus at 155- 150 million years ago. They got close with the T-Rex atleast at 68- 66 million years ago. No shade on the writers tho they just probably wanted to feature iconic Jurassic Park dinos I guess.
