Located in Downtown Detroit, next to LCA and Comerica park lies Ford Field. Home to the Detroit Lions, this stadium holds 65,000 people regularly, and can be expanded to 80,000. Being a domed indoor stadium, construction began November of 1999 after it was voted in, and was part of a downtown revitalization plan along with Comerica (which didn't exactly work). The successor to the Pontiac Silverdome, the building was originally a Hudson's made in the 1920s, repurposed for a unique seating arrangement in the world of sports. It has held various different events as well, such as WrestleMania and the MHSAA football state championships.
