Hello HBA!

We're back! It's been a long while, but we're here to present our new edition, and celebrate our new beginning🥳

For this edition, the theme is nostalgia! It seemed fitting, with our club (and hopefully this amino :eyes: ) coming back from the grave :)

Every time I turned the corner, I saw his stupid face. His dark hair, pale nose, big grin, and crazed eyes. There wasn't a straight thing about him. Without a doubt, he belonged to Bacchus.

For the last few weeks, he's been everywhere I've been. When I was at the range, drawing back my bow, he was at the range, trying to work his own bow with awkward arms. When I was at the library, he was at the library, standing in the doorway so as not to get infected with too much knowledge My final straw was last night. You can imagine my frustration, surely, when during the War Game, he came running up to my tree, where I had been hiding from the opposing team and totally blowing my cover!

I've made it a personal mission to avoid him like the Antonine Plague, but if I was an ancient Centurion, I'd be dead by now. He's everywhere! This time, I was unable to swiftly escape, backed into a corner: the loud, disgusting dining hall.

He was approaching me and I had not a clue what I was supposed to do. Kick him, hard? Yell 'fire?' Just wait and see what happened? Well, I spent too long thinking about my options.

"Poroshenko, I've been tryna get ahold of you all week!" He complained, his pubescent voice just one note shy of cracking. "Arm wrestle?"

Whatever I was expecting, it hadn't been that. He held his arm out, and I it, I rolled my eyes. Why would this punk, fourteen year old want to arm wrestle with me? Was this his way of flirting or something? Last I understood he had a boyfriend.

I guess I hesitated for a second too long, because the next thing I knew, he was grabbing some magazine out of his back pocket, and apologizing profusely.

"No, no," He started, already tripping over his words, "it's not anything weird. I promise. My mom taught me not to be weird to girls. It's just you're like the boss lev—"

"Boss level?" I inquired, confused at this point, but starting to like the sound of it.

"The newspaper, from the geeks, in that one cohort, they said you're the strongest camper we got."

He paused to catch his breath, hunched over himself. I felt bad for the kid, because if his story was true, he didn't stand a chance against me in an arm wrestling match.

"Sure, Schneider, is it?"

His face lit up like a Saturnalia tree. It almost made me feel bad for winning so quickly. The weirdest part was afterwards he asked for an autograph. I had never seen anyone smile that wide after I kicked their butt. I guess there's a first time for everything.

❭ ❯ ❱ The most nostalgic thing about the Halfblood Amino is definitely the years I spent roleplaying, and creating new characters. I'm now busy, building up a portfolio for my screenwriting career, and it all makes a lot of sense. 🤣

Anyways, I decided to try putting together a little one shot about my original characters Stanley Schneider. Both of whom I've used in Dungeons and Dragons campaigns before because I wanted to use them again so badly. Also fun fact, this was kind of a challenge for me, because I hate writing stories in first person, and I also HATE using conjunctions when it's not in dialogue.
