Sorry that this is a little late!
This is my post for the first day of the Hamino anniversary events, if you haven't seen that from the title. I'm honestly not quite sure what to put for the post introduction, so let's just get started!
1. What's your name, man?
I go by either Annie or Star!
2. What got you into Hamilton?
My aunt told me I needed to listen to it, among other things. I played it on repeat and was hooked. The rest is, well, history.
3. What character do you relate to most?
I would say I relate most to Jefferson. A lot of what he does and who he is is decently similar to Hamilton where it matters most, but he's not as obsessive and confrontational. He knows how to play his cards and is intelligent with his political moves. He's not always portrayed as the villain and is often seen as quite the opposite. I enjoy writing and politics, and I possess quite a few of the traits that I just mentioned.
4. What is your favorite song from the musical?
My favorite song is either The Room Where It Happens or Satisfied.
5. How did you hear/find Hamino?
I saw that Amino was being promoted a lot, and decided to the app. Since I was hugely into Hamilton, Hamino was the first Amino I ed. I liked the community a lot and chose to stay.
6. How has Hamino changed you?
Oh, wow. Hamino has changed me in so many ways and done so much for me, but I'll try to keep this short.
When I started Hamino, I was a quiet, somewhat lonely writer with little to no experience in what I was doing. Through the platform, I've been able to meet people with similar interests and improve my writing. Hamino has let me meet so many amazing people and experience so many events, and I feel like I can act more like myself here.
I failed at keeping that short
7. Have you seen Hamilton?
I have! I recently saw the Angelica tour and it was phenomenal.
8. If you could say one thing to Lin Manuel Miranda, what would it be?
"Thank you. Thank you so, so much. Keep doing what you're doing"
9. Favorite Hamilton line?
And when my time is up, have I done enough? Will they tell your story?
10. What quote defines you or something you believe in?
"Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on."
