Eliza woke up to see Alexander finally sleeping in their bed. Eliza always knew that he would forfeit the bed. He would sleep in his office instead. Eliza smiled but it hurt to smile sometimes, after months of bickering and ignorance between the two, made Eliza, sometimes feel dejected. Eliza caught a glimpse with the corner of her eye, the fire place, having The Reynolds Pamphlet burn to the fire. Eliza had thought she had burned it to its ashes but it was the letters. Eliza gazed at Alexander, yet with her vex attitude, but a caring for thy, one at the same time. “Alexander,” Eliza muttered under her soft, whispery breath. “Eliza!” Alexander exclaimed, with the sorrow look into his eyes. “I do not want to talk to you Alexander,” Eliza replied in a stern voice to Alexander’s exclaim. Alexander sighed then walked out of the room.
Eliza thought about Alexander. She thought about the awe-inspiring remembrances she and Alexander shared together, happily. Eliza ed the Winters Ball. Eliza smiled as she had this significant memory about it. Eliza was just helpless and was crazy about Alexander, she just had this fondness for him. Eliza ed her blue, soft, silk, ribboned dress she wore. As Eliza was dancing, going with the other dancers or men to wine and dine, she tried to catch Alexander’s eye. Eliza had whispered into Angelicas ear, ‘hey, this ones mine’ with a grin and such excitement. Eliza ed how Angelica walked over to Alexander while Eliza was so highly strung that when she trembled, wine had spilled all over on her blue dress. Eliza yelped as she felt the liquid absorb through her thin silk dress into her skin. Eliza chuckled as she thought about that memory. Eliza also ed, that when Alexander and Angelica were walking up to her, Eliza took a man’s scarf and soaked it with the wine that had spilled all over Eliza’s clothed chest. When Alexander came up to Eliza, having his arm chained with Angelicas, Eliza jet stammering, mes with her words, feeling like she was just this one eccentric one at the ball. “E-Elizab-beth Sc-Schuyler..” Eliza had stammered, she even had her face burn red. When Alexander had introduced himself, followed with a kiss in the hand, Eliza nearly swoon. Angelica had placed her hand on Eliza’s back then pushed her back up to keep her from actually swooning. “Don’t let him make you think you’re a dork” Angelica teased in a whisper. Eliza humphed at Angelica. Angelica laughed softly then whispered, “I’m just teasing, now go get ‘em!”. Eliza grinned then held Alexander’s hand. Eliza felt like a dream she had always dreamed of came true. They both danced, laughed, drank, talked and did so much more together. Eliza sighed as she had this amazing memory.
Eliza grinned as she had this other significant memory. She ed the wedding. The noteworthy day Eliza would always keep in her heart. She ed during the minutes before Eliza would walk onto the flowered grass to Alexander, holding her bouquet with her perspiring hands, she was panting, having her sisters pat her back rapidly to calm her down. Pant, pant, pant, Eliza was just panicking. “Now now, darling,” Angelica had told Eliza, patting her back, “men don’t like woman who agitate a lot”. “I’m trying! I just feel like a can’t breath!” Eliza panted. Peggy sighed then slapped Eliza on the back. “Ow!” Eliza yelped. “That’s to you, from me, you’re welcome” Peggy has replied to Eliza’s yelp. Eliza had hugged her sisters tightly, having tears escape her eyes. “I-I can’t do this! What if he runs away from me like the thing that characters do in the narratives I read all the time?!” Eliza had cried. Eliza thought about this memory and laughed softly as she ed about herself crying before she was even walking on the aisle. Eliza also ed when her sister Angelica patted her on her clothed back, followed with “now, now...you will be fine...If you want, I can walk with you on the aisle..”. Eliza ed how she humphed at Angelica’s caring commentary. “J-just let me be in the middle,”Eliza teased, sniffing up her tears. Peggy embraced Eliza then soothed out her dress. Angelica then chained her arm through Eliza’s then handed Eliza the bouquet of colorful, vibrant flowers. Eliza looked at Angelica, smiling, yet still sniffing. Alexander, Laurens, Lafayette, Mulligan, and the best man, Burr, were all next to Alexander, Laurens taking a white cloth and dabbing it on Alexander’s perspiring forehead. Eliza walked slowly with Angelica down the carpeted aisle. Alexander smiled then had Burr adjust his patched flower on Alexander’s black vest.
When Eliza had finally arrived to Alexander, due to the slow speed Eliza and Angelica walked down the aisle, Alexander and Eliza gazed at each other into each other’s eyes. Eliza stared into Alexander’s violet blue, shimmering eyes. Eliza’s loved pastor performed the assigned speech he was told to say at the wedding. “Alexander Hamilton, do you-“, “I do” Alexander interrupted the Pastor. “Eliza Schuyler, do you-“, “I do!” Eliza interrupted, squealing. Angelica chuckled. “You may k-“ The pastor was again interrupted. Eliza’s lips touched Alexander’s, putting each other’s hands on the others face. Everyone clapped, tears escaping out of others eyes, throwing flowers at the bride and groom. Eliza stared into Alexander’s eyes, smiling. And this, was a dream come true.
Eliza sighed as she thought about these memories. She liked to the right, seeing the opened door that Alexander walked out of. Eliza took the sheets then pushed it aside, having her legs be placed on the edge of the silky bed. Eliza the placed her feet in the ground, then swooped her brown, soft hair out of her face. Eliza walked out of the room then walked into the next door office that Alexander walked into when Eliza scolded at him. “Alexander..”Eliza muttered, peeking out through the crack of the door. Alexander quickly turned around then exclaimed, “Eliza!”. Alexander flailed his arms the ran to Eliza, having Eliza do as same. They both hugged each other tightly, soothing into each others arms. Their hands placed on one and others exhausted face. “I’m so sorry, Alexander! I just feel so pessimistic, this disparaging damsel, I shouldn’t have the title of ‘best of wives and best of women’ by you!” Eliza cried, having tears race out of her eyes. “I’m j-“, Alexander placed his cold finger onto Eliza’s lip. “You are a prepossessing, tender-hearted, woman. There should be absolutely no reason you should have to heavily insult yourself, cry, and say that you don’t deserve the title of being the best of wives and best of woman, because you are!” Alexander exclaimed, as if he was doing a pep-talk to Eliza, having a tear roll down his eye. Eliza plopped her wet face on Alexander’s chest, Alexander could feel Eliza’s tears absorb through his white, leather shirt into his skin. Alexander quietly shushed to Eliza’s somber cry, having his hand run through Eliza’s brown, tangled hair.
Eliza sighed then took Alexander’s hand. Alexander smiled then led Eliza outside to the radiant garden their children had planted. The colors were radiant, vibrant, and very colorful indeed. They both danced in the garden, laughed, talked, like they did in the winters ball. Alexander and Eliza both did the same dance, and the same twirls they did when they first met. Eliza laughed as she tripped over her long, nightgown, having Alexander catch her like she was going to swoon. The dress flowed and spun as Eliza did the actions of the dance. The following night, Alexander and Eliza took their one last spin in the garden. Eliza chuckled then swooned onto Alexander’s shoulder. Eliza was then asleep. Alexander sighed then whispered, “I do..”. Then carried Eliza in his arms, to their bed.
Once Alexander placed Eliza on their bed, Alexander walked back to the garden then took these subtle yet beautiful flowers. Alexander took a ribbon then tied the flowers into this beautiful bouquet. And the ribbon used for this significant bouquet was the same one that was used at there wedding. Alexander ed that he slipped the ribbon out of the pile of flowers and kept it in a box. But Alexander never knew where though.
Alexander walked into the bedroom with a love struck smile. Eliza sat up and pulled the sheets away from her, then muttered, “Alexander? What are you doing up so late?”. Alexander took the flowers then placed it on Eliza’s hands. “Something to me by..” Alexander whispered, love struck. Eliza chuckled. “Where are you going?” She asked. “To a meeting..”.
The following night...
Eliza screamed as she felt the air disappear for Alexander. Eliza sobbed while she was hunkering over his bloody vest. “N-No Alexander!” Eliza cried, tears racing out of her sorrow eyes. “It’s my fault you had the sun and moon go away from you! Please, come b-back Alexander!”. Angelica and Peggy stood next to Eliza, screaming with such pain. They both let out a big sigh. Angelica felt a tear roll down her cheek. “Eliza...” Angelica muttered softly, grabbing Eliza’s hand. Eliza consoled her hand away from Angelicas then placed her head down on the vest being matted with blood.
Eliza slept that night with no one to warm her bed. Her bed was cold. There was nothing to fill in the half of the bed. Nothing to pull the sheets. Nothing to cuddle with. Nothing to whisper to before they would sleep. Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing but the bouquet that Alexander had made for Eliza. Eliza snuffed the perfumed flowers. “This sure was something,“Eliza said. “Alexander was right..”
”This was something to him by”

This is such a beautiful tribute to what they meant to each other and how Alexander finally realized just how much Eliza meant to him
For 50 years Eliza would carry a copy of that last letter her husband wrote to her, a miniature portrait of him, and a locket of his auburn hair in a locket around her neck. When she died at the age of 97, her children saw to it that those momentoes were buried with her.
