So I just got home with Vinny. They took x-rays and said they didn’t see anything which was weird because he was clearly limping in his arm. They said they did a fecal because he pooped and they had the option and he has a parasite of some kind?? (I forgot the name and I would call but they are closed now, it started with a G is all I :sob: ) *I’ll edit this when I the name of it* She also said they want me to feed him only Romaine lettuce to flush out his system???? AND they don’t want me giving him supplements of any kind which is also weird... And she wants his poop to be bright green almost like an olive color which I find bizarre. (his poop is normally dark brown/black which is normal. Vet said it’s too dark  )And then they charged for a 25$ shed soak when I could have well done on my own at home. The vet/doctor also said he was stunted and to small for his age. All together it was 155 which wasn’t bad I suppose.
Vet Update.

Well... Vets aren't always great when it comes to feeding advice and acre advice, keep up with the supplements your animal needs them and going without them can lead to possible or very likely deficiencies..
Size I don't really know, but some individuals can just have different growth rates than others as long as their husbandry requirements are met and their diet is good I see nothing wrong with an animals size, plus genetics can effect their growth rate and overall size later on.
I believe lettuce win general isn't great as a main product of any animals diet as it's mainly got water content which in small amounts ain't bad, in high amounts it could lead to diaherra therefore leading to dehydration and so forth. Romaine is safe, but like all lettuce that is safe should be fed in moderation.
Idk about the poop, but olive green even for a herbivore seems odd.
Was the vet you took them to like specialised in reptiles or specifically big lizards or iguanas?

I think I’m going to ignore her advice and just keep doing things the way I have it going. Most of what the vet had said seemed like she was dead set and positive on what she was saying. I’m calling in today to ask and see what the parasite name is and research on it and even if it’s related to reptiles..

Ye, whenever I looked a little, I couldn't find anything relating to reptiles beginning with "g", but I could be wrong

I searched on it too.. I couldn’t find anything.
I just feel as if they addressed everything but his arm which is what I went in for. The vet also said that the “parasite” was early and small so it’s nothing too dangerous at the moment. I’m glad I know about it but I’ll need to do research on the parasite to see what it even is.
