Progress, and Ways to Help

Hey there, Ranga here again to speak from a perspective for change. I won't be referring to myself as Ranga as I'd love to see these changes come through, therefore I will use a name that is much more common for me: Kitoshi.

After literally rereading this post maybe a hundred times, that's sadly not a joke: Important Community Changes, I have a few ideas that may or may not be of assistance, but it honestly depends on you.

But what does that honestly mean, the staff have the ability to change the guidelines, name (once speaking/emailing Team Amino), community theme, etc: what can the community do for the changes and how do we help make them come through? And more importantly, what if I don't want the community to change from DxD?

I'd like to tackle that last bit real quick as reading through that community changes post (you can even find my comments on it), a lot of people think that we will be getting rid of DxD based content. That's not true, or at least not according to the post, at the end of the day the staff have the ability to update and make changes to said post and add and take away information from it.

But we will not be taking away DxD, simply allowing for more content to be breathed into this place. While, sure it's rumoured that we are getting Shin DxD Volume 5 somewhere near Q3 of 2022 (as we saw the recent release of the newest DxD Dx Volume). For those who are only anime watchers, Season 5 is still up in the air due to Ishibumi's hospitalization and the COVID 19 pandemic that is still around.

Make sure you are vaccinated and such.

So what do these changes actually mean and how can the community help? Well firstly to remind that there is no community without actual community . To be a King you must have people to govern, there is no point in having something of a title without the ability to have those who follow your lead.

So with that being said, I'd recommend everyone reading those important Community changes and more so understand the underlying points that are being displayed, you as the community will have the ability to branch out and create more things which is just a good thing there is no downfall in that. Keep in mind that everything needs to adhere to community guidelines and general rules, more so meaning no nsfw content.

In theory this should allow for a lot more creativity to start flowing here as, yes while DxD is made up of several mythological things, tying connections is difficult if you don't know the series. Which I'm profoundly happy about, if anything at the base layer it should allow for more people to and fill included and not so much as an outsider considering that not too many people know about the series in depth. Hopefully the community takes full advantage of this and starts creating things and groups other than just houses. Yes while I understand most people like how houses are set up they are very restrictive in of how many people you can really have in it without just kind of breaking the structure of it and expanding it (which I want to go ahead and say is completely fine from a standpoint that the community is including other series). Some have already started creating different stylings of houses with different formats which is fantastic, but they are still very very much limited on how many people that they're allotting into that house.

One of my biggest pushes for the change is because you will have the ability to make giant guilds or clans whatever you want to call it with a structure formatted system that includes several layers of power that helps the community as a whole to include more people and gain more community to make more people feel at "home", instead of just being an outsider if you're not in a house. Poison, the Staff Member, has already started something similar to this goal in mind but for people who aren't necessarily one to really groups with her new chat. Which is a fantastic idea because yes well not everyone wants to be in large groups, in the beginning everyone is a stranger and not going to be known.

At the end of the day you have the ability to start these changes and have the action to create events and whatever you may have don't just rely on the staff team to carry all of this weight.

It honestly seems that most of the community view the staff team outside of the community and not being a part of it which is forced a lot of community to grow hostile towards the staff team which is just plain wrong their humans too at the end of the day they're part of this community and if you can't see them as that and you simply see them as a higher figure then I think you're in the wrong there. Honestly look how many of the staff actively chat and chat rooms outside of just DMS or private group chats it's astonishing to see the fact that the leaders are so outcasted away from the community as a whole that it's just sad. Even just saying what staff are online compared to the number of people that are online it's almost a 10-0, which in my opinion is atrocious it just shows that the staff can't with many of y'all, if it's not constant backlash from Community changes then it's just plain disrespectful behavior that keeps them away.

We have the ability and we have the power to really make these Community changes happen we just have to show that we want them, while I don't know what goes on in the staff room, from my perspective these changes haven't already been made because the staff are scared that they're going to lose even more people or rather just be blatant disrespected and have a bunch of drama come out of it, which no one wants. These Community changes are a good thing and I think a lot of people are having a really hard time to see that in my opinion they're only allowing us to expand and create more things and as someone who enjoys creativity as a whole I can only see that as a blessing. And yes this is coming from the person who took a 4-month hiatus because he needed time away and didn't necessarily agree with the shift from DxD.

So, what can we do now. Well, first off talk to people talk to others in public chats and group chats talk to friends over the Internet get them to make this place worth something again and allow for these changes to happen speak to staff tell them that you're on board with this you don't have to DM them to tell them these things you can literally just make a post about it and shared that you're willing to help with these changes. Leave comments on their walls if they're open that's what they're there for you know find your way to speak to them and encourage these changes because at the end of the day that's what's going to make them happen. Make events, we have the ability to make events there's been several tournament fights created by just regular people that have nothing to do with staff you have the ability to do that as well, talk to friends get it set up and then talk to staff to get it featured and get it moving if you're afraid to not know how to get it started yourself.

My ending point is that you have the power to do something and something that will help this community at the very end of the day more than what the staff are actually leading on. I've seen one post from the staff talking about these changes and it got a really shit response, but now I think it's had enough time to sit and marinate to wear most people can agree that it is a good thing. So go out and create and allow for new things to happen because we have been at a standstill with nothing going on for a little too long.
