Born into a civilization where war and battles were being fought every few month's, edamames mother and father did their best to shelter their daughter from the conflict and keep themselves out of it as well, The ruler of their people simply wouldn't let that happen, She instantly had edamames household executed. When it was time for edamame to be sent off to an orphanage, the ruler notices something very unusual about the child. She had strange symbols engraved into her chest. Upon further inspection she'd found out that these symbols represented a race that had been wiped out many years ago, and for good reason. The amount of magic that was stored in their body would constantly cause issues for everyone due to it having an effect on their emotions. Though that's a story for another time.

The ruler thought for a few moments before deciding that they could use this child. They'd be more useful alive than dead. Edamame was raised underneath the wing of the ruler, receiving a regular education, though she'd often visit the elders to learn about anything magic related. Once she'd gotten old enough she was assigned with the task of protecting a figure of great importance, a young elven woman named poltia, through the many years they were together, poltia taught eda even more things and treated her like an actual living being, and not just a weapon, eda slowly began to come out of her shy, and emotional shell once she'd been around Poltia long enough. Though not everything has a happy ending. One night while patrolling the house, eda was struck in the head and knocked unconscious. When she awakened, poltias body laid next to her, dead. She was murdered. The murder wasn't particularly messy, an icicle had pierced her throat, only then had she realized she was laying in a pool of blood, though by the time she noticed it was already too late, she'd been surrounded with even more of poltias guard, obvious it looked like eda had committed the murder, she was the only one who had ice magic, or magic in general really. The guards began to approach eda, telling her to surrender and not pull anything funny, though eda wasn't listening, she was having a breakdown, she was confused and scared, the death had traumatized her, eda eventually screamed and slammed her hands into the pool of blood on the floor, instantly freezing it and turning them into large spikes, impaling the guards, this only scared eda even more, but she knew that she had to eventually move, she grabbed a black cloak from poltias closet and immediately putting it on, fleeing from the town, she's now wanted and has been living out the land, having to keep moving everyday. Though eda couldn't shake the though of poltias dead body, had she really killed her? Either way she still had blood on her hands from killing those innocent guards, turning herself in was not an option, she's just be executed, eda remains in hiding till this day.

I wrote this off the top if my head, eda also dies in unfortunate ways and respawns because it's my oc and I can do that. HA.
