Make Official Art for the Amino! [8 DAYS LEFT]

Hey HSA!!! We need your help!!!

We want to keep this amino looking fresh and fun by semi-regularly changing the theme and giving the place a whole new look. However, just using regular old stock photos is boring, and there is a better way that also involves showing off the community's creativity.

That's where you come in!

If you make a piece of art that follows the necessary specifications (see below) we'll use it for the amino's cover and sidebar image, along with having the amino's theme be based around it!

(Fun fact: this is how our current theme came to be!)

Yes, you read right, if you make it, we will use it. This isn't a competition, everyone is welcome to submit art as long as it's your original work!

You can theme your cover art around whatever you wish! Favorite characters, aspects, zodiacs, AUs, summer camps, whatever feels right! As long as it follows the rules it will be accepted!

The possibilities are endless and we encourage you to get creative!

If you want extra inspiration, we currently plan to change the theme every season (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) so each piece will have about 3 months of time in the spotlight. You can use that information as you will.

(And you are also free to specify if you want your theme in a specific season as well, but we might not be able to guarantee that)

Before you make your masterpiece, there are a few rules:

The cover art MUST be 1334 x 750 pixels, otherwise it won't fit

Due to the size limit and to preserve quality, all art must be digital (MSPaint counts as digital)

You may only use canon Homestuck and/or Hiveswap characters, and/or our official mascots, i.e no ocs

All art must have at least one character in the piece

All art must have AT LEAST a colored background (black and/or grey counts just no pure white)

All art must be fully colored (monochromatic counts as fully colored), no sketches

All submission posts must have proof of work included with the final product (a progress/sketch image, image of layers, etc) unless you are a Featured Feed VIP

Cover art must be your original work, sprite/ edits or using other people's art is not allowed

All cover art must follow community guidelines

You may only submit ONE piece to be used as cover art (once we run out of cover art this event will likely be run again)

Please have a discord, email, or some other method for us to get your art in a higher quality (since amino ruins it)

All art must be submitted before May 30th

Submission posts must have the tag #CoverArt2025 to be found and used

When your submission is chosen it will:

Get featured (or refeatured) for three days, starting on the day it is used

Be pinned to the featured feed for as long as it is being used

Be broadcasted when it starts being used so the whole amino can see it

And you will be rewarded a special title for your contribution

(Please be aware that in order to be eligible for any of these rewards and have your art used you need to keep your submission post up. Deleting the post or deleting your will make the submission intelligible to be used even if you send the file to us separately)
