A/N: Exactly as the title says. There is not summary except that little Gon is celebrating Mother's Day a day early with Mito. Also,Happy Mother's Day everybody!
Sunlight crept through a bedroom window,illuminating Mito freeces nestled in the bed.
The sunlight was a cue for the young woman to wake up. As soon as she rose up,she was met with five year old Gon shoving a bouquet of hand picked dandelions in her face. Mito blinked her amber irises and gaped.
"Gon? What's this for?"
Mito asked as she counted the flowers the dark haired boy picked. Gon looked up at her,a big smile spread across his face.
"Aunt Mito,happy Mother's Day!"
Mito looked at Gon and then at the calendar dangling from one of the walls.
May 13th.
A day early.
"Gon,Mothers day is tomorrow not today."
"I know aunt Mito. I just wanted to give you an early present!"
Mito accepted the flowers and gently took them away from gon's grasp.
"These are beautiful Gon,but that I'm your aunt not your mo-"
Mito was cut off by Gon wrapping his arms around her torso,making her drop the flowers on the mattress.
Gon looked up from his embrace with mito and flashed another innocent smile.
"Aunt Mito is like mom!"
Gon exclaimed to the apricot haired woman. Gon was still smiling at her but it quickly faded when he saw Mitos eyes filled with tears.
"Aunt Mito?"
Now it was Mito's turn to hug back. Once she did, they continued hugging each other in complete silence. A few minutes later,Gon broke the silence.
"Aunt Mito?"
"Yes Gon?"
"I love you."
With that,mito could only hold him closer.
"I love you too Gon."
