posting art: do's and dont's

today, im making a post on what to do and dont do when you want to post any edits, drawings, and any other pieces of visual art.

these rules are already part of the guidelines, but the mod team wanted to make this post just to explain what we expect from art posts.

do’s:

add progress pictures. this lets us know that you are the creator of the piece.

*for edits, when using picsart, there is an option to turn the work you did into a gif. to save on scrolling time, use this feature.

how to use:

*for drawings and sculptures, take photos every so often.

*for video edits, use progress images? use whatever you feel is proof and mod will decide if it works

add your current amino name as a watermark on any medium.

if you forgot your work-in-progress/progress (WIP), angle shots and name watermarks are okay. DO NOT USE AN EDITING APP TO ADD TEXT TO THE IMAGE IF HANDDRAWN. WE WILL ASK YOU TO CORRECT IT.

*angle shots MUST be from noticeably different angles

for edits, please add what apps you used, time taken to make it, any quotes that arent stickers and its source, any fonts you used, etc.

dont’s:

dont use hand images as proof. we really wont know if its your hand. however, if you use your hand to write your name watermark, this is fine.

*mod will allow two days without a watermark before issuing a warning to you. if after another two days you dont add a watermark, we will disable to post until it is fixed. after two more days, you will be issued a 3 hour strike.

DONT POST SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK WITHOUT THEIR EXPRESS PERMISSION (if theyre on the amino, an irl friend, or someone youre friends with online) OR LINKING THE ORIGINAL POST (if you found on another social media site).
