II VIDEO GAME CROSSOVER CONTEST (+Updates)

I know you're probably excited to read about the new contest, but there are some very important things I'd like to address. First of all, most of you already know that one of our curators, ici, has stepped down as a recently. Though it's sad to see her go, we completely respect ici's decision and appreciate her for all she's done for the community, especially in it's roughest times. Thank you all for the love and you've been showing her!

Second, I want to apologize for the lack of "activity" that has been going on for a while in the amino. We weren't expecting acrylic to be gone this long, and having to plan new events and keep this place running has never been harder. As the current leader, I take full responsibility for not organizing everything enough and I hope to change that now to the best of my ability.

Lastly, I should mention that curator applications may be opening up again very soon! Yes, you heard me, there's a chance that YOU could apply to become one of the staff memebers on this amino. With acrylic and ici absent, there's only 3 of us left currently to watch all 5,000 of you and we could really use some more help. I'm almost going into my junior year of high school with a very hectic schedule and I don't want fountain pen and noenikes to be overworking themselves by being the only active s. However, DON'T start making an application, try to convince me that you would make a perfect candidate, or ask any questions about it just yet! It's still not 100% official and I need some time to think it through and plan it all out. For now just strongly think about it and see if it's something you'd consider.

Anyways, going back to the subject of the post- sup everybody! It's been a while since the last one, but we've got a cool, brand new contest for ya'll.

It's the Inanimate Insanity Video Game Crossover Contest!

(Wow that's long name)

What is the videogame crossover contest you might ask? Well basically you take any video game and some characters and/or aspects from Inanimate Insanity, and combine them to make something creative and unique in the form of a drawing, au, comic, story, or etc. Sounds fun, right?

~REQUIREMENTS~

1. Your entry needs to have at least one drawing in it, even if you want to write some sort of small story

2. You must describe your entry and explain why you choice the videogame you did

3. Include the hashtag #iigamers in your post

4. Object ocs ARE allowed this time, but there should still be some resemblance to Inanimate Insanity

5. All entries have to be submitted before the deadline on August 31st

We wanna keep this fair for everyone, so please don't steal people's work. It's okay to be inspired by other's art but tracing or claiming it as your own will get you disqualified. (Including proof of your drawing is highly recommended)

This one is pretty obvious and self explanatory, but keep this as PG as possible. I know there are also inappropriate video games out there so do your best to not include them.

Two entry limit

You can make up to 2 posts for the contest. It's not required, but if you do each entry has to be completely different.

Have Fun

In the end, this is just a contest. We don't need anyone hating on people's art or showing bad sportsmanship, especially when the winners are chosen. The whole point is to create something cool for everyone to enjoy and have fun!

With so many video games to choose from, the possibilities are practically endless! You got about 3 weeks, so don't procrastinate!
