iteration (an IT OC playlist)

TL;DR: I share my silly little feelings and post a playlist about Abby that has lore lmao

I've been on a nostalgia kick recently and decided to take a glance at old aminos. And DAMN this amino and my Infinitysona, Abby, hit me like a goddamn truck

This is getting into a bit of oversharing territory, but I made my OC Abby in a prolonged bout of really bad depression (the pandemic REALLY got to me lmao). I felt completely out of control of where my life was going, and I desperately wanted to go back to how things used to be, back to feeling safe with friends and familiarity. Abby was sort of my way to combat that - I didn't post much of her, but she was literally the only thing I drew in my sketchbook. Even though I wasn't able to escape, at least Abby, this fucked-up version of me, would be able to through the Infinity Train

Honestly though, despite the depressing origins, I still think Abby's one of my favorite OCs. I made her and her story such during such a specific part of my life. Looking at her now is like looking into a little time capsule. She's got all my past anxieties and fears. I kinda wanna just sit her down and like... get her a goddamn drink or something. And a therapist. Jesus, she needs a therapist

Anyway! This has been in my drafts for literally years atp - it's a playlist centered around a specific plot point in Abby's story, and I curating this so carefully when I was In The Sadness Void. I went back to listen to it out of curiosity, and DAMN I can't listen to half of these songs anymore without thinking of Abby. Do you know how embarrassing that is, getting emotional over a Daft Punk song??? I can't show my face in public ever again
