A flicker of gold.

Gold is too flashy and no where near subtle in the dark, that's why the team of offenders wee able to fire at him. It still made no sense that they fired off their rounds, especially when none of the bullets were even remotely breaking past the armour.

He got in close and a quick swipe of his claws disarmed the robbers as they backed themselves against a wall.

The leopard had frightened his prey. Its eyes were staring at them, searching their bodies for tell-tale signs of any motions. Suddenly, one of the criminals finally decides to take a shot. His fist flew forward only to make with air as the gold he'd aimed for had been swallowed in the onyx-black darkness.

The others, as confused as the brave attacker, stepped forward in curiosity. They searched the space but to no avail were greeted with no sign of the former presence. For a moment, their troubles seemed to have disappeared as relief set through the atmosphere.

That was their third mistake.

In total, there were six robbers, they'd all attempted to steal from a jewelry store in the lower end of Manhattan and had managed to get past the security systems that had been put in place by the owner; a kind, elderly, caucasian man with an elderly wife.

They'd assumed they'd be undisturbed.

That was their first mistake.

Little did they know that the store they robbed was being watched by unseen eyes.

Their second mistake was believing their task would be an easy endeavour.

Their final mistake was believing that they had been abandoned by their hunter.

The sound of a marble hitting the floor echoed through the building. The criminals' torchlights quickly locked onto the object, a black bead.

One of them approached the bead before they picked it up, revealing a small, golden lit symbol alien to their knowledge.

Soon, they all became enamoured by the strange thing as the entire group drew closer to inspect it like moths to a flame.

A beep went through the room and soon enough, everything in the store was light, weightless and at the mercy of the golden claws. The gang of invaders all reached to grab a hold of something to anchor them down, some of them floated up and hit the ceiling while others managed to grab a hold of nearby desks.

A dance began.

One, two energy daggers flew through the air, hitting and stunning their targets floating against the ceiling.

One loud crash rang out as a man flew out of the store, shattering a window upon his departure.

One, two wooden stools thrown after the criminals who held onto the heavier furniture. ittedly, that might have been overkill, he'd probably broken something but he couldn't concern himself of the wellbeing of thieves.

Finally, one of them, a man, grabbed a flashlight that had floated into their reach. He grasped a hold of it and turned it on as he began to search the room. The light danced around the room and eventually came to illuminate a golden mask that stared him right in the face.

"What the fu-" A golden claw came to the thief's lips as he silenced himself.

The mask's blank-white eyes then turned to a threatening red as they glared in predatory edge.

"This store is no longer yours to pillage. Understood?" The armour spoke.

The robber nodded eagerly, a cold sweat of nervousness running down his forehead before the claw removed itself from his mouth.

Another beep went through the room as two smaller lights flickered by the entrance to the store. The robber had been dropped back to the floor and quickly scurried to his feet as he scanned the room for the other figure. His search came to an end when his face had been struck with a golden padded foot, sending him right into the store's door unconscious.

The next morning, T'Kira walked into a small building, "Jewelled Palace". He walked in through the door and made his way past the mainicans adorned with earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

T'Kira walked up to the front desk and tapped a silver bell. Quickly, he was met by a stout and round man with a rustic appearance whose wrinkled face immediately lit up once he spotted the prince from the doorway in the back, behind the smoothly carved desk.

"Your majesty!" The elderly man excitedly shuffled forward as he came to greet the wakandan. "It's good to see you again."

"It's a delight to see you too mr. Kapowski." T'Kira smiled. "How have you been?"

"Really good sir, last night, the police told me that they found some guys knocked out cold outside of the store, it seems like they tried to break in but the security system finally kicked in and bit back. It worked like a charm. Nothing even got damaged." The elder smiled.

T'Kira chuckled. " That's wonderful mr. Kapowski, have you been hanging the panther charm I gave to you next to the door like I asked?"

"Yup." The old man pointed to the charm at the door. It's golden eyes looking back at the pair of men. "Seems like that thing is some real magic, moment you gave it to me, wonders been springin' up like flowers."

T'Kira nodded. "I'm glad to hear it sir."

"So what can I help my favourite customer with?" Mr. Kapowski asked gleefully.

"Well sir, I would like a new pair of earrings, I need something to add some flare to my appearance for an arrangement I have this evening. What could you recommend me?" T'Kira chirped.

"Ah. Who's the lucky person son?"

"He's a special man, I'd like to be as special as he is for this evening." T'Kira answered.

"I got just the thing, ma wife picked it up yesterday, it's in the back, lemme get it." Mr. Kapowski then returned to the back of the store and T'Kira turned around, leaning his back to the desk as he glanced to the panther charm.

He smiled at last night's events. The charm worked just like magic, he expected nothing less of course. There was nothing to doubt about it with the tracer embedded inside.
