01. Tell us some things about yourself. (Timezone, Posts, Hobbies, etc. Please do not include your age!)

Hello! I'm Hopper50, but you're welcome to call me Hopper, Hoppy, Moria, or Trash. I'm in the Eastern Standard Timezone, though that does change every once in a while when I go on vacations and such. I'm extremely ionate about music, which I practice every day, and I play five different instruments and am learning more. I also like to draw in the AJ Art Studio and write, and it's a dream of mine to become an actress or musician. I tend to post mostly art, writing, and the occasional opinion piece or music piece.

02. What are your flaws? How do you hope to improve them?

One flaw I have is that I tend to be a bit shy and introverted. I'll usually only initiate a conversation with someone if I know them well, but if someone starts a conversation with me first then I'll be as friendly as I possibly can! I hope to improve upon this by opening up to people a bit more and trying not to be afraid to voice my opinions. Another flaw I have is that I tend to overthink things, especially when it comes to typing them in a comment or post. I'm well aware that some things may be misinterpreted over text, and I'm usually careful to the point where I wimp out when trying to tell someone something they may misinterpret and be offended by. I'm trying to fix this by getting a bit bolder and actually saying what I'm thinking and then explaining myself if the person gets offended or upset.

03. Do you have anything else we need to know about?

I'm in a lot of honors classes at school so I tend to be a bit busy, but what student isn't? Hopefully it shouldn't be too much of an issue!

04. How long have you used Amino?

I've been using Amino since about December of last year (291 days as of the day I'm typing this).

05. How active are you?

I tend to be pretty active on AJA. I go on every day and I often find myself scrolling through the latest feed when bored.

07. How long have you played Animal Jam?

I've been playing AJ since around 2011, but that was a while ago so I don't exactly when I started.

08. Do you mostly play on AJPW or AJPC?

I play mostly AJPC, but I have been starting to get more into AJPW.

09. How often do you public chats?

I public chats fairly often, as I trade a lot and like to discuss art and trading with others.

10. How well can you handle criticism?

I can handle criticism fairly well, as I usually just use it as motivation to do better. Honestly, I think I am my own worst critic, so I most likely will not be too discouraged by outside criticism.

11. Why do you want to be a curator?

I'd like to be a curator because I enjoy helping others and I think AJA is just such a wonderful community and it would be very fun to curate. I think the job comes with a lot of little perks, such as making someone's day by featuring them.

12. How do you perceive yourself versus how others perceive you?

I perceive myself as kind, intelligent and logical. I can be serious when it's necessary but I also like to have fun when it's allowed. As for how others perceive me, I have some screenshots of friends of mine responding to the question. Please note that most are from Instagram because I don't have many friends here on AJA, and Instagram names have been blocked to protect my friends' identities.

13. How well do you work with others?

I work very well with others because even though I prefer to work on my own, I am good at compromising and working together to get done what needs to be done.

14. What changes do you have in mind for Amino? What can you do to improve this Amino as well?

Changes and improvements I would make for Amino would be to possibly add a way to automatically find and delete spam posts, maybe by creating some sort of program that scans over how many sentences are in a post and automatically hides them if they do not reach the specified amount of sentences. To improve this Amino, I would just continue to moniter and curate posts, wiki entries, and public chats, and just overall make sure people are following the guidelines. I would also continue to promote positivity because I think that's really important and vital to having a well-running community.

15. What makes a post feature worthy?

A post is feature worthy if it has a lot of effort put into it and the finished project is neat and aesthetically pleasing. The post should also have a decent description if it is based around an art piece or image, and any writing should be well written and contain little to no mistakes.

16. What makes a post pin worthy?

A post is pin worthy if it is something important that should be spread, or if it is about a popular group or team that many people enjoy having easy access to.

17. Someone is harassing another member, what do you do?

I would calmly ask the harasser to stop, and if they continue to harass others then they will receive disciplinary action such as a strike or possibly a ban.

18. Someone posted content that violates the guidelines, what do you do?

I would immediately hide the post and let the person know what they did wrong if they ask so they do not make the same mistake in the future.

19. Someone is continuously violating the guidelines, what do you do?

I would talk to the person and let them know that what they are doing is against the guidelines, if they don't know already. If they continue, they will begin receiving strikes and will possibly be banned.

20. When posting about another , what crosses the line?

When posting about another , you cross the line when you begin to put that down or put others down by comparing them explicitly to that person. You also cross the line when you discuss drama about that person that isn't really your business or try to start drama with that person or any of their friends/fans.

21. What is our policy on advertising?

You can only channels or social medias that are Animal Jam-based, and you cannot make a post only for ment. You are also not allowed to art cons on people's posts or walls.

22. A huge argument started, what kind of actions do you make during it, depending on the argument/drama?

I would ask everyone to calm down and explain their sides of the story so that I know exactly what the issue is. I would then try to help the arguing people to reach a compromise or apologize if they were blatantly in the wrong.

23. Someone messaged you and says they want to kill themselves, how do you react to this situation?

I would try to talk the person down a bit but first I'd supply the suicide hotline number and urge the person to get professional help.

24. A "famous" jammer just harassed someone, what actions will be taken?

The jammer will receive the same treatment as anyone else, which would be a warning and possibly a strike, and a ban if they continue.

25. What is considered spam? What about off topic?

Spam is any post that has less than two meaningful sentences. Off topic posts are posts that have nothing to do with Animal Jam or AJA.

26. How well do you know the community guidelines?

I know the community guidelines fairly well, as I constantly read them over if I'm afraid something I'm about to post may be off topic.

27. How well can you handle mature/sensitive situations?

I can handle them pretty well, as I tend to be fairly mature myself and am used to having conversations like these with my friends outside of AJA.

28. Someone is angry at you for their posts being disabled. What do you do?

I would explain why I disabled their posts and would continue to explain that it is my job to disable posts like the ones they were created. If they continue to harass me about it, I would inform them that they could face consequences for continuously harassing a member.

01. Are you comfortable with in group drama? How would you feel about encouraging it and what would you do?

I'm not comfortable with group drama, per say, and I don't know if anyone would be comfortable with that! However, I would try to de-escalate the situation and get everyone to sit down and talk it out maturely. If someone is trying to encourage drama, I would take them aside and talk to them to let them know that what they're doing isn't cool and they shouldn't be egging people on.

02. What would you do if some of the staff broke into an argument? How would you react to it? Would you try to stop it?

I would not take any sides initially and I would try to hear both sides of the story before I take a side. I would try to get both to settle down and talk things out, and if they can't reach a compromise then I would tell them to take a few days to cool off and then return to discussing the issue.
