Hello! Today is the official start of Round One, so please read the ENTIRE post to understand this round's debating topic.

The challenge

In this challenge, you must state directly whether you agree or disagree with the debating statement. Debaters may choose to work together or individually. who choose to work together MUST use both player hashtags within said entry.

“Earnable titles like ‘Artist’ or ‘Editor’ should expire at the end of every year; then, must be earned again.”

Saturday at the latest! The Judges' Table will begin voting on Sunday so please submit your entry on time!

Winners?

There will be FOUR entries chosen by the Judges' Table on the agreeing and disagreeing sides. The debaters will vote for the opposing side's entry to determine which debater is crowned winner of this round in the Selection chat.

Eliminations?

No eliminations are set to occur yet.

How many points can be earned?

The winner of this round will receive 90 points. The four runner-ups will receive 25 pts each.

The winner of the Preliminary round will be announced in the public chat, which is set to happen for every round. Please hold tight until then!

The following are simply reminders regarding this event! Let me know if you have questions in the comments. I recommend rereading this wiki to catch up on the material required to understand.

- Might I reiterate to everyone that your player number indicates that your is ed to the Debate Bowl.

- In both announcing winners and player deadline checkpoints, this number should be applied to ANY and ALL debate-related entries that are submitted!!

(A point tracker will be kept for everyone but you should be keeping track of your own points as well.)

➋. Invitations to the public Debate Bowl chat & private “Selection” chat!

- The "Selection" chat is also known as the voting chat. Do not invite outsiders to this chat.

- Side chats may be constructed for teamwork and various activities, but the two chats invite all contestants.

➂. Debate Bowl posts

Note that tips or FAQ blogs may be released alongside or in addition to Debate Bowl poll-result posts.

➍. Disqualifations & Prizes

- may be disqualified at any point of this competition. Be it misbehaving in the debate chats, outright cheating or simply through the elimination system.

- Don't forget that there are tons of cool achievements to earn with points and/or the competition itself.

Apart from the 1000-coin winner, can gain immunity during the Pre-Finals or cash in so many points to become a Judge < to be discussed at a later date.

Many of these features are first come, first serve.
