01. Tell us a bit about yourself.

Hello there! I am Kaya, as I go by on the internet. I'm a teenage girl living in the USA. I live in the Eastern time zone on a farm with my mom, my mom's boyfriend, my little sister, and a lot of animals.

I am independent, smart, problem solving, natural leader, stubborn, and sometimes shy. I am an introvert or extrovert depending on the day. I also have a sense of humor.

The reason I ed Animal Jam is because I love animals with all my heart. (It would be stupid not to, considering that I have horses, cows, donkeys, goats, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and ponies.) I love the beautiful lands, cute animals, and funny items. And, of course, buddies.

I'm kinda opinionated. I stand up for people being hurt. I stand next to what I believe in. I believe in equality, no matter what, gender, race, religion, ect. I also believe that cruelty is not the way to go, and talking about it is just a better way to go. And, I HATE ANIMAL CRUELTY.

I'm a very creative person. I love writing and poetry above all. I love using my hands, and Clay is super fun. I'm also a beginning-ish artist. I got serious about art when I was 12. I'm always looking to improve!

Lastly, I'm someone who unconditionally loves. It doesn't matter if you hurt me, took my worldly possessions, made me feel worthless. I still love you. It may be from a distance, but that's okay. It's okay to love from a distance.

02. How long have you used Amino?

About a year, I will hit a year in early September.

03. How active are you? (Please include screenshots of your AJA stats and check-ins!)

I'm always on whenever I can be. This is a low number because I just woke up.

04. Do you have prior experience as a staff member in another group or Amino? Which one(s) and what rank are/were you? (Member, Curator, Co-leader, Leader?)

Yes. I am a leader and creator of my own amino, I was a co-leader in HAF, I am a member in KC, I am a member in JT, and I am a member in TGT.

05. How well can you handle criticism and honest opinions?

I love honesty. It helps me much more then a fake compliment does. I'm a pretty straightforward person, and I don't like being lied to. I handle criticism very well, and always use it to my best interest, even if it's rude.

06. What qualities do you believe any staff member should have? Which qualities are you lacking, and how can you improve from them?

A staff member should be respectful, honest, hardworking, trustworthy, active, friendly, and caring. I think that they should also have a sense of humor, and be able to connect with the group that they are watching over. Even though I have most of these qualities, I guess I could work on being a bit more friendly. I'm a bit of an introvert, and people sometimes see me as antisocial.

07. Why do you want to be a Curator? Why do you have the potential to be a part of the staff team?

I'm a natural leader. I've always been good at stepping up, taking charge, and getting things done. I'm fair, and I give everyone an equal chance. Animal Jam and AJA have been such huge parts of my life, I would love to combine two things I love. I would also love to get to know all the staff better, they are all such amazing people.

08. What changes do you have in mind for Amino? What can you contribute to improving this Amino as well?

I think that I can contribute a caring person that you can talk to. I'm good at listening and calming people down. I think that we could change the guidelines a bit, and let the have a say. I feel like that we should also make a few more groups official. I usually have more ideas.

09. How often would you use breaks? Will you have time to fulfill your tasks needed as a dependable Curator?

In my almost year of being an AJAM, I have only even taken a break once. That was when I had summer camp, and I was only gone for a week. I don't have a lot after school, so I have a lot of free time. I'm only in one AJA group, so I'm free on Amino, too.

10. In your own words, what content do you deem feature-worthy?

A feature worthy or pin worthy post is interesting and quality. This means an interesting plot line for a story, high quality art or craft, or a step by step DIY. It also tends to have good grammar and spelling and aesthetics. Above all, it follows all the guidelines and is respectful.

11. Someone is targeting another member, harassing them and calling them out. How do you approach this situation?

If they are doing this in a post, I would hide the post and private message them explaining why that is not allowed. If they were doing it in a chat, they would be removed from the chat and I would pm them explaining why it isn't allowed. If it's in their bio, I would hide their profile and pm them explaining why it's not allowed.

12. A member is continuously violating one or more guidelines. What measures do you take?

First, I will pm them, explaining what rules they broke and how they could fix it. If that does not work, I will continue to hide the posts and even profile that violate them. If it gets super bad, I will ask a leader to ban them.

13. When posting about another member, what is allowed and what isn't?

If you are making a birthday post for a member, giving them a shout-out, making them art, writing them in a story, or just saying thank-you to them, that's allowed. You are not allowed to talk about them in any way that may make them feel uncomfortable, you may not call them out, and you, cannot post art of them that was not made by you without asking and crediting the creator of the art.

14. A huge fit of drama starts, what kind of actions do you take, depending on what kind of drama?

First, I would talk to all involved, or make a post talking to the community as a whole to try to figure out what's happening. Then, depending on the drama, I would help find a solution that benefits everyone. Depending on the drama, I would take a different approach. If it were art theft, I would search the art on the internet and see who is actually belongs to. Then, I would strike the offender.

15. What measure would you take if a member sent you a suicidal message or tell you that they wish to harm themselves?

I would private message them, asking what was wrong and why they felt that way. I would listen, and help them by giving them the suicide hotline number. I would also hide any posts with talk of it, and hide their profile if they talked about it on their bio or name. Of course, I would explain why.

16. You just disabled someone's blog for violating the guidelines. The member decides to insult or even block you for no good reason. How do you respond?

If they insulted me, I would calmly explain what I did and walk away. I don't get upset on the internet very often. If they blocked me, I would ask another staff member to help me by talking to them for me.

17. Would you be able to deal with mature or sensitive topics?

Yes. I would like to consider myself a mature person. I can be a bit silly, but I know when to settle down and get serious.
