Even if it is already explained in the manga, some stands are just.... plain confusing. Like really, very confusing. And so I thought of writing about some confusing stands and what I think they exactly do, based on what I saw, of course. Comment bellow what you think and warning, spoilers ahead.
Before we get to that, I just want to address it here that the photos I used in this post are straight out of a Google search and so if you have any problem with that, tell me about it and let's discuss what to do instead.
Oh and also, these are not arranged in any particular order.
1). Speed King

Stand : Joubin Higashkita, Main Villain (I thought)
Stand ability: raise the heat to a temperature hot enough to boil blood, burn paper and melt butter. The effect is usually in close proximity but it an be transfered through almost any medium such as a phone call.
My comment: "If used properly, this can be an OP stand in close range. Just boil blood and BAM dead guy. It may not create fire like Avdol's Red Magician but since when did his stand really burn and kill anyone? He didn't even burn Polnaref."
2). Holly's Stand (an unnamed stand)

Stand : Holly Kujo, Damsel in distress
Stand ability: No it doesn't make the sick. With the lack of evidence and the vines and roses and everything, I can only deduce that this stand allows her to grow plants on her. Kinda like Poison Ivy from the Detective Comics. If this is true, then I'd say, she would have power to control plants and even "communicate with them". But fine, since I should be just looking at what I saw, this stand just makes the sick.
My comment: "The Poison Ivy idea is a really good idea. I mean, control over plants that can grow almost everywhere?! And being able to talk with them?! How is that not a good ability?! It's like a good, long ranged, stealth stand if you ask me."
3). King Crimson

Stand : Diavolo, Main villain
Stand Ability: Erase up to 10 seconds for every living and nonliving object in the universe and allow only the stand to exist within the said erased time. Think of it like The Hand except it's time instead of space and that Okuyasu can exist within that erased space.
My comment: "Honestly, I don't know why this was confusing in the first place. This is a very creative ability though. And paired with Vinegar Dopio's Epitaph, it's just OP in giving oneself a lot of advantage over their opponents."
4). Star Platinum

Stand : Jotaro Kujo
Stand Ability 1: Impressive eyesight. Can literally see a fly in the darkest parts of a small photograph. This also gives him incredible reflexes that allows him to catch a bullet in point blank range.
Stand Ability 2: Finger extension. Can extend his fingers for a slightly weaker but longer ranged attack.
Stand Ability 3: Adaptation. Star Platinum can somehow replicate a stand ability in times of dire need such as when its is about to die or when losing is most likely inevitable. This allowed it to acquire the ability to stop time and the ability to allow its to retain his body's reality in the game, Eyes Of Heaven.
Stand Ability 4: Interact with stuff through stuff. Star Platinum can pick up guns through cell bars, a piece of jewellery through glass, and even make Jotaro's heart stop through his flesh. A very few stands are able to do this. By "few" I mean only two but I may have missed some.
My comment: "Let's just say that the main ability of Star Platinum is plot excuse. I mean, its development almost sounds so cliche, am I right? I think I'd find this kind plot excuse in Wattpad stories. Characters just getting their powers upgraded and useful because the story needs it."
5). Hey Ya

Stand : Pocolo, Neutral character
Stand Ability: Some say that it manipulates luck, others say that it does complicated computations of chance and statistics stuff to get to this lucky outcome but I beg to differ. This stand's abilities just allows it to see farther than an average person can and successfully cheer its by, well, cheering him on with words such as "you can do it" and "you're gonna win". The said 'lucky' outcome may not be immediate but this stand has nothing to do with it. Hey Ya just cheers and that's it.
My comment: "I think I read something about optimistic people are most likely to win a game or something but I can't . But if that statement is true, then I guess that's what Hey Ya is doing here. Making his stay positive and everything else falls into place with his very very positive aura. But if it is indeed luck manipulation, this guy would be real Overpowered with this advantage. He can beat King Crimson any time."
6). Made in Heaven

Stand : Enrico Pucci, Main villain
Stand ability 1: NO, IT DOESN'T MOVE SO FAST THAT TIME ITSELF SPEEDS AS WELL. That's bizarre , yes, but no that's not what it does exactly. Made in heaven slows down every people's movements and their perception of time. Of course, everyone except its stand , Father Pucci.
Stand ability 2: Reverse time. Like a time travel thing, Made in Heaven can reverse time and go back to the past. This means that there is only one of everything and everyone and so no paradoxical duplication will be made. Apparently its stand and the enemy are the only ones who can retain their memories and whatever they have in possession such as their stands and a stand disc. As for the new time line of the "Steel Ball Run Universe", I theorise that it's a simple time travel cliche wherein Emporio caused a paradox (killing Pucci here means that they won't be able to meet them later and cause this whole thing) OR as complicated that Pucci did manage to banish Emporio out of his "perfect world" and sent him to an alternate timeline which is the Steel Ball Run Universe.
My Comment: "First, I just wanna say that the stand design looks really really cool with the lower body as a horse. Thumbs up to Ariaki. Second, this is pretty much an OP stand since it slows down everyone's perception of time. It's just horribly to imagine that everything is in the fast lane while leaving you in the dust and gone. This doesn't mean that it's fast though. In actuality, its "infinite speed" is just a matter of perspective since time is slow to us. It's a matter of relativity."
7). Hermit Purple

Stand : Joseph Joestar, Protagonist
Stand ability: Aside from the conducting Hamon and the fact that it's a vine and can be used a rope to swing and reach objects out of reach, the main ability is divination. Yes, it's as simple as that. Divination. To. Find. Stuff. The only reason that it can't find the invisible baby in part 4 is that Joseph is so senile that he though bleeding is the best way to find it in a river rather than using his Hermit Purple.
My comment: "This stand is more of a very useful tool and doesn't really do combats and stuff. It's only because that it can be used as a rope and conduct Hamon that it can be used in a combat."

1 heat herpes , spreads by touch like herpes
2. I agree with you
3. It goes forward in time and diddles things then the thing is instantly diddled when it stops skipping
4. It just has high stats, 99% of its feats are just this
The time thing was hinted all throughout pt 3 as both the star and the world are similar
5.i agree, he doesn’t do anything more than be a portable motivation poster and point out things
6. This one’s just Superman it goes around the earth and speeds up time as it says as evidence by things rapidly growing or the earth moving around the sun at an accelerated speed
There is no way it manipulates perception
it’s just that fast
Steel ball run is its own universe as he created a heat death that spawned a new universe twice
1. When the wasp universe was made and 2. When he died making the irenaverse
George joestar explains this in more depth
7. This is technically not Joseph stand as it’s super condensed Hamon energy ( similar to ball breaker) both dio and i theorize tompetti both are shown using it so it’s not an exclusive thing
1. Herpes, through a phone, really?
2. I'm glad. Like very glad
3. So basically King Crimson is a shorter Made in Heaven?
4. *cough* and plot excuse *cough*
5. Yes, it is nothing more than a motivational poster. :joy:
Like a kitten that says, "hang in there"
6. I almost forgot about that movie. Was it in Superman 2 or 3? Definitely not in the first...?
7. Ah that's an interesting theory. Thank you very much for this piece of information

1. Magical heat herpes
2. Indeed
3. Kinda without the need to speed up things
4. Indeed
5. It does hang off his shoulder 🤔
6. I dunno I just always thought of that
7. The only reason I say TomPetti is because he uses divination on Zeppeli
Thanks for the king crimson one
Cuz before I need how it's works
Me before knowing how it works
You're welcome!
Just , it's like The Hand except it's time and the is the only one that exists in that erased time.

There are a lot of people who'll argue with that.
Not me, I'm Done with King Crimson's Stupid Nonsensical Overpowered Ability.
