sometimes, the most unexpected journeys lead us to the places we were always meant to find, revealing truths about ourselves and love that we never thought possible.

Utahime had settled into a routine that gave her comfort and a sense of control over her life. Despite her skepticism about love, she enjoyed simple pleasures like her morning coffee ritual. On a typical Wednesday, after a particularly exhausting case, she decided to treat herself to a visit to her favorite café.

The café was bustling with the morning rush, filled with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the comforting hum of conversations. Utahime walked in, nodding absently to the barista as she placed her usual order—a strong black coffee, no sugar. As she waited at the counter, she scanned the room, taking in the familiar faces of regular patrons and the occasional newcomer.

It was then that she unknowingly walked past Shoko. Shoko was seated at a corner table, surrounded by her co-workers, her laughter rising above the ambient noise. Their paths crossed so closely, yet neither acknowledged the other. To Utahime, Shoko was just another face in the crowd.

With her coffee in hand, Utahime turned to leave, but as she approached the door, she was struck by a strange feeling. It was an inexplicable sensation, as if she had just ed someone she knew, someone significant. Intrigued, she glanced back over her shoulder.

There, in the corner of the café, Utahime saw Shoko laughing animatedly with her colleagues. The sound of her laughter carried a warmth and familiarity that tugged at something deep within Utahime. She stood there for a moment, trying to place the feeling, to where she might have seen this woman before. But nothing came to mind.

Shrugging off the odd sensation, Utahime shook her head and stepped out into the bustling street. The encounter left her feeling strangely unsettled, but she quickly dismissed it as her mind playing tricks on her after a long and stressful week. Little did she know, this brief moment would mark the beginning of a journey that would challenge everything she believed about love and destiny.

Utahime had always dismissed the notion of love as nothing more than a myth. To her, love was a mere construct, an emotional crutch that people leaned on for comfort. Her life as a driven and successful lawyer left little room for such frivolities, and she was perfectly content with her solitary existence. However, a particularly bad day at work pushed her patience to its limits. The defeat in court, the harsh words from her boss, and the overwhelming stress made her long for the end of the day.

As she drove home, her mind preoccupied with the day's events, Utahime failed to notice the red light. The impact was sudden and brutal—the screech of tires, the crushing force of metal against metal, and then darkness.

When Utahime woke up, she found herself in a cozy apartment she had never seen before. The room was filled with soft light, warm colors, and an array of personal items that felt strangely intimate. Confused and disoriented, she sat up in the unfamiliar bed, trying to make sense of her surroundings.

The door opened, and in walked Shoko, a woman with tired eyes and a small warm smile, dressed in medical scrubs. "Hey, you're awake." she said, her voice filled with relief and affection. "How are you feeling?"

Utahime blinked in surprise. "Where am I? Who are you?" she asked, her voice tinged with confusion.

Shoko laughed lightly, assuming Utahime was joking. "Very funny. You're at home, of course. I'm Shoko, your girlfriend. ?"

The words hit Utahime like a ton of bricks. Girlfriend? Home? None of this made any sense. She didn't have a girlfriend, and she certainly didn't recognize this place. "There must be some mistake," she stammered. "I don't know you. I don't know this place."

Shoko's smile faltered, her expression turning to one of concern. "Are you feeling okay? Did you hit your head harder than we thought? You're in our apartment. We've been together for three years."

Utahime felt a wave of panic rising within her. This was impossible. Somehow, she had been transported to an alternate universe where she was in a committed relationship with a woman she had never met. She tried to explain her situation to Shoko, but the neurologist chalked it up to possible post-traumatic confusion.

Over the following days, Utahime struggled to adapt to this new reality. She learned that in this universe, she had a fulfilling life with Shoko, who was not only her girlfriend but also a successful neurologist. The apartment was filled with evidence of their life together—photographs, shared books, and even a cat named Whiskers.

Despite her initial resistance and confusion, Utahime couldn't help but be drawn to Shoko's kindness and warmth. Shoko was attentive, patient, and genuinely caring. The love and connection they shared in this world were undeniable, even if Utahime couldn't it. Slowly, Utahime found herself questioning her long-held beliefs about love. Could it be that love was more than just a chemical reaction? Could it be something real, something profound?

Shoko, unaware of the true nature of Utahime's predicament, continued to her, attributing her behavior to the aftermath of the accident. As time ed, Utahime began to develop genuine feelings for Shoko, feelings that challenged her skepticism and fear of vulnerability.

The climax of Utahime's journey came when she had to decide whether to fully embrace this new life with Shoko or to find a way back to her original universe. The decision was heart-wrenching. On one hand, returning to her old life meant going back to a world where she felt secure in her disbelief of love. On the other hand, staying meant embracing the possibility of a deeper, more meaningful existence with Shoko.

Will Utahime choose to stay in the alternate universe. That she started to realize that the love she had found with Shoko was something worth holding onto something that could change her life for the better. Will she open up to Shoko about her true origins and the accident that brought her here?
