Roleplay Lore

In the beginning, Sorcerers and Humans ruled the earth, creating curtains and barriers to help maintain their hold. Any curse that dare to try and hurt them, was cut down. This was how it always was, till they appeared. Conscious Special Grade Curses weren’t impossible, but they very rarely collaborated due to their difference in character and ideology. They called themselves the Ose Hexes, and together they clawed from the pits of hell and brought it upon us. With their abilities they slaughtered, stole, and ate, making a mockery of those we deemed the greatest of our nation. The greatest of the world. No sorcerer who defied them lived, and those with greed and evil in their hearts became their servants. They split the earth, and from that divided the chaos into territories in land, earth and sky. Humans became subservient to them, letting the lower curses devour those unable to defend themselves. Only a few clans survived, establishing their homes as safe houses in secrecy, shrouding themselves in curtains and darkness to keep them safe from the Ose Hex’s. Now, we live in fear of all Curses and their sorcerer allies, the Votary. It’s been 3 years since it happened, and no one has a plan of what to do next. What will you do?

Ose Hexes

of the Ose Hexes are rare to see, and were never heard of till they rose to power. People assume this is due to all that met them have perished. They have distinct territories, prominently displayed by the terrain. The curses that reside there, the environment, and the effects they have all resemble each curse they belong to.

The Capital: The Cimejes Conclave

The Cimejes Conclave is the only place where all the Ose Hexes have ever been seen in one place. The conclave is the exact point where the Ose Hexes first attacked, and now marks the middle point where all their territories meet. Because of this, the terrain is the most uninhabitable, due to the combination of all the nightmarish environments. Cursed energy is strongest here, and guarded by the strongest curses. Not many non-curses have survived being near it, nor are the Votary allowed here. Only the Ose Hexes are allowed to enter without harm, and the likelihood of getting into the Black Chapel is slim upon that.

The Black Chapel is the centerpiece to the Cimejes Conclave. Its walls are high and made of pure obsidian, stained glass windows depicting the curses triumph litter the walls. The building resembles those of great italian architecture, but shrouded in corruption and warding off any idea of a God able to help its people. The building is surrounded by a wilting garden, littered with dark roses, bushes and decrepit trees. Beyond them is an endless hedge maze crawling with rabid curses. Entering the Cimejes Conclave is a death sentence, and often a used to banish those convicted of heinous crimes in the safe houses.

Territories and Ose Hex Details

Mare was one of the first Ose Hexes, but due to the nature of her abilities, wasn’t discovered till the group made their mark. People say her appearance is both beautiful and horrifying, lulling them into a confused state before her nightmares set in. She is made of human fear, being able to discern the darkest fears of a person and use it to her advantage. She can either take hold of your mind and make you envision your own worst fears, manifest them, or create darkness to surround an area. She is noted to be the connector of the Ose Hexes, only for the fact that with her ability she can see sins in the soul, preventing any of them to double cross her. With that, she keeps mutiny from both humans and curses alike.

Mares Territory is an endless night, and she resides either in the sky among floating islands, and the immediate land below. Her territory is over a mountain range, and due to this has both sky and land territory to make up for the rigid terrain. Her weather is normally clear, opting for the occasional rain or storm to keep the vegetation prospering. The curses that reside there are shadow and nightmare by nature, stalking caves and forest, lurking away from the light. Even with the onslaught of curses, many nocturnal wildlife can be found due to Mare’s infatuation with them, and many are spared from the lurking curses. Overall her territory is the calmest in nature, which gives it an eery feel. The night lasts forever, and waits to pull in its next victim.

A man who loves none more than himself, spares none like with expense

The land that the King claims as his own is a vast expanse overwhelmed by arid sands and relentless sunlight, where water exists only as a distant fantasy. This unforgiving terrain, beset by swirling sand tornadoes that twist and dance in the scorching winds, renders the region hostile and largely inhospitable to life. Yet, amidst the harshness, astonishingly resilient creatures thrive, defying the odds of survival in this desolate realm.

At the very heart of this unforgiving desert lies a monumental ziggurat, reminiscent of the ancient structures woven into the mythos of the King’s own tales. Towering majestically, each layer of the ziggurat is adorned with colossal trees that reach skyward, their verdant canopies providing a stark contrast to the surrounding bleakness. Water flows abundantly from hidden springs within the ziggurat, creating a seemingly endless cascade that nourishes both the flora and the few chosen beings fortunate enough to dwell nearby.

However, this sanctuary is shrouded in mystery and danger. Access to the ziggurat is strictly forbidden, a rule upheld by the King with unwavering severity. Those foolish enough to breach this sacred barrier are met with the wrath of the King's divine guardians. Arrows, imbued with a lethal grace, strike swiftly, ensuring that intruders are swiftly punished. Yet, for those who navigate through the perils and emerge unscathed, there lies a rare reward: a chance to partake in the life-sustaining water, granted only if the King deems them worthy. This act of bestowing water upon the fortunate few puzzles the King. Deep inside, he harbors an inexplicable urge to share this precious resource, a flicker of comion that contradicts his otherwise cold demeanor. It resonates within him, a deep-seated sense of duty and instinctive benevolence that compels him to act in this curious way, acknowledging that perhaps, even in a land of despair, hope and sustenance can still flow like the water he guards so fiercely.

𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬

many places have been devastated by the turnover, due to this, some semblance of society was established, or ‘safe houses’

𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧

the wisteria haven is one of the most accessible safe houses, but is hardest to find. the grounds of the entire town are guarded by a 24/7 curtain that only allows those viewed as allies to the blood chickafuji to enter. because of this, the only ones allowed to enter freely in and out are the clan’s , and disturbance to the curtain is immediately felt by them. due to this, no break ins or detection by the ose hexes has ever been done. even though the utopia is incredibly hard to find, it is still very welcoming. those looking to become citizens are immediately entered into a screening process by the chickafuji, and a majority as long as they aren’t deemed a danger.

the town is fairly large, mainly populated by a busy town surrounded by farms, hot springs and gardens. up the mountainside is the clan home, which is a large grounds with high walls. due to the clan leader being a cursed weapons forger, and their vast herbal and hot spring collection, wisteria haven specializes in teaching the uses and versatility of cursed weapons, as well as healing. graduating are even known to have a weapon forged for them specifically.
