hello there

it's me, lea

and today i'm delighted to be bringing

you the possibility to apply for the ka

welcome committee ! i'm sure most of you

have already heard of us, as we send wel-

coming messages to every new member

in this community.

because of recent developments, we're

now looking for some new and motivated

people to our team and share some

positivity and warm welcomes with the

new community .

so, keep on reading if you want to learn

more about what we do and if you're in-

terested in ing our wonderful team ~

what is the welcome comittee ?

KAWC, also known as the KA Welcome Committee is the official team in charge of welcoming the new who our community !

with the large number of daily new on ka, the of this team have to go through all these profiles and leave a positive, welcoming message that will help anyone new get a good sense of how to move around ka. this team also helps out the moderation team by being the first ones to spot bots or troll s, who the community just to cause trouble !

• why are you applying ?

i am applying because I love the work y'all do for this community and I'd love to be part of this. ing this community can be overwhelming, so I think it's wonderful and important to receive some kind of welcome and introduction! I would love to make the new people feel welcomed and help them out a little , because I how lost I was when I ed back in the day

• how active are you on ka / how often a week are you able to welcome new ?

I'm on here every day and I'm sure I could spare a few minutes every day if needed (maybe not every day at a specific time but there's always some spare time I could dedicate to helping the team and ofc the new )

• do you have any prior experience as a welcome committee member on any community ?

i do not since this is pretty much the only community I am active in at this point, but i am willing to learn all I need to know🤲

• attach an example of a welcoming message as well as an overall writing sample (can be a text from one of your blogs or any other piece of writing you’ve put together)

:penguin: been on this app for 3 years now and I feel like it’s time to actually contribute to the community and I’ve been welcoming committee in other communities and it’s honestly super fun to see new people and greet them these days

:penguin: of course, i have to go to school, but i can be on everyday for periods of time and I’ll be able to welcome to !

Things in teams change, and it's definitely easier to get in these days, so if you feel like it, don't judge the teams by your past experience with applications ♡
