rollin 🦋 - artbeat

this particular dance crew has always been my most favorite and preferred crew of dancers that I often watch. Though whatever they have done this year was amazing, this particular dance cover made me fall more in love with these 5 girls. Rollin was literally my hype song when it gained all the fame, and tbh, I watched this dance cover a million times and I haven't even watched the real mv that much. They really created an impact with their strong yet subtle moves, going for the cutie-smexy vibes which they totally pulled off! If someone told me they were a kpop idol group, I for real would have believed them, because talent is all I see! What made it a better watch was the other dancers that sat in both corners and just blasted their lungs out during the chorus, and the boys literally got up and ed during the sting ray dance move somewhere at the end and it really made me smile so much since they all looked happy doing it. If there is a dance crew you want to see perform, then artbeat is a perfect choice! They do plenty of dance covers and have never dissapointed me. They're like a role model and filled with very ionate dancers, which makes me want to appreciate them more!

rainism 🦋 - p1harmony

rain's legendary song had to definitely be included, mainly because p1harmony did such a good dance cover to it! It's always fun watching idols in general cover and try to imitate rain and his very iconic dance style. p1harmony babies literally slayed each move, they flowed like silk and dressed so prettily in suits while each member even wore gloves which made me enjoy their performance even more! They synchronised so well and fit into that small screen without even an inch of their body going out of camera, like please, this shows how much they've put into practising the dance. There's not a single fault I could find out from them with this performance, but one thing they definitely gained from this performance was my respect for them. It grew about 10 folds! Their debut song siren already had me fall in love with them in a go, I'm not someone who falls for a debut group with just one song, but I guess p1harmony was slightly different since the beginning. Go check this dance cover if you haven't, like you're really missing out on good content if you haven't checked it out as of yet!

lilac 🦋 - nida

I'm not someone who deeply dives and watches people sing except for when it comes to skye park, but this song cover was way too precious to just look over and go past it. Nida showcases her singing talents on her channel, and I haven't really checked other contents of hers except for this one cover of IU's lilac that she sang with her dad! Now if that isn't cute, idk what is :(( her voice is so smooth and delicate, while she belts all the high notes with utmost beauty and perfection! My ears truly felt so blessed listening to this father x daughter duo. Another thing I loved is how she's wearing a lavender dress and her dad in suit, I have a soft spot for those types of things (precious af, pls). They also stood on opposite sides of the microphone, so one could see the other and I think that's what made the harmonisation pull off beautifully.

on the ground 🦋 - gaho

words can not express how ultimately insane this cover is, from his voice, to the live instruments, to the scenery and just gaho standing there with his microphone. I don't really want to comment a lot on this, because gaho does all the justice in this world to this song, while his voice feels so heavenly! I love how he makes the song feel so hyped when he starts singing that one line at 0:43 in silence, and the instruments later come in with a bang. I literally got the chills listening to him, well he is gaho, and gaho would never dissapoint and that's cap. I can't get over the fact that people haven't discovered such a talented man, his voice could literally awaken one's inner beast while also calming it to the maximum. Gaho really does stuffs, his vocals are so underrated and I seriously wouldn't be able to sleep if I hadn't mentioned about him somewhere in this blog. This cover is definitely a must watch cover!!

special mention : various artists singing sunset glow by bigbang for the close of kcon tact 3 🦋

(stray kids, the boyz, ateez, dreamcatcher, mamamoo, a.c.e, oh my girl, daniel, jessi, junhyuk, sunmi, everglow, txt, itzy, ab6ix, hyuna, sf9, btob, p1harmony, woodz, to1, ha sungwoon, loona and enhypen)

dream of you 🦋 - jenny yun

just like song covers, I don't really check out instrumental covers until they're really recommended to me by y*utube, but with jenny yun it's been different. She has always amazed me with her violin, not only does she play it, but created this video exactly just like how chungha did it, from lying on the floor, dancing and even to all the costume changes! Girl set the entire video on fire and we ain't complaining na-ah. It's already hard to like play the violin, but when she danced along with it, I lost it. I hope people check her violin covers and be just as mesmerised as I am, she got so much talent and I'm glad I have been one of her viewers that came across her channel! What really surprised me is that she seemed so dedicated, like I haven't seen any other k instrumental coverist bringing in back up dancers and dancing along with them while playing the instrument at the same time. I wouldn't have feel attacked if she was an okay dancer, but nah, she decided to ace dancing as well. I enjoyed watching it so much!!

sober 🦋 - d'splay

*coughs* daesung *coughs*, ngl I added this section so I could happily scream for my king daesung and his amazing youtube channel d'splay! He uses this channel for his drum covers, learning english and japanese with his leggo toys, and doing some other fun content. He literally made us vips come back from the dead, this man only uses YouTube and no other social media so yeah some content from dae is always good content. I chose his bigbang sober cover since he himself did play it during that time, and having to see him cover his own song kind of cracked me up. Beware of smiling like an idiot if you ever think of clicking on that 🦋 that takes you to the video, the man literally laughed doing asmr and I lost all my braincells. I'm just so proud of him for being so positive and giving us vips and d'sguyz [d'splay fanbase name, like he literally claims to not be daesung so we're going to stick to that] so much content over the past few month's! Him doing drums has always been my most favorite thing, and that's mainly because of how happy he looks while playing it and gets to also release some of that stress from his shoulders. Go show him some love and appreciation, he deserves every ounce of it!!!

asurabalbalta 🦋 - t1419

I had been looking forward to T1419's debut from when I watched their pre debut song dracula that had all my attention on them. I'm just so glad that their debut song screamed talent and I was completely mesmerised by it and still have it stuck in my head, mainly the chorus when they say asurabalbalta. I don't really know what it means, but whatever it is, it is one catchy word!! MLD did really well with coming up with these boys who seem to be good at everything. I hope MLD takes good care of this group, I'm really seeing so much potential in them already. From the starting rap, to all the vocals and visually pleasing video, they really stole my heart with all this. Also "abracadabra" supremacy! I just can't choose who between the rap line or vocal line I love, they're both so equally talented leaving me speechless grr. One thing I'd never understand is how they came up with their fandom name edelweiss which is a flower, it's beautiful either ways. you can also check out their comeback song exit, they did well once again :'))

vamos 🦋 - omega x

I didn't really know what I was looking for in them, but vamos snatched everyone's wig for sure. the main reason I checked them out is because of 7oclocks leader aka loml hangyeom, and woah I dint expect to see a lot more idols that I've once come across be in this group, which made it an even bigger surprise. It still breaks my heart how these groups ended up disbanding, but im thankful about how this agency brought pieces of everyone into this one group and made it a huge success. Like look at them, they're all shining and beautiful! From all the teasers, I tried not to expect a lot from them, but duh they proved me wrong and slapped the heaven out of me with this debut. Whoever made this song, ily! It was just spot on and perfect for this group, like they already have experience in the field and that made it more worth the watch since none of them looked awkward when the camera was on them, and I totally enjoyed watching this concept that they went for. Can't wait to see what more they have in the house, hopefully this time they don't get disbanded, that'll be so heartbreaking pls TT fingers crossed for these boys.

vanilla 🦋 - lightsum

cube better do them good :)) this year around I've been looking forward to many girl groups and lightsum was one of them that caught my attention. I dint really know they were under cube entertainment until I watched one of lightsum x jokwon video that I came across randomly and found out. I immediately got so worried for them since cube does their girl groups really bad and I hope they could shine a light on lightsum for a long time. I was surprised to find my love from pd48 debuting here, like damn, I was wondering where she had been and ahhh, I was soooo happy to see han chowon here! She literally spiced up my pd48 days and I almost ulted her that time along with Lee chaeyeon :") maybe it's time to ult her now, but we never know ksks. This debut was literally so cute and all pink, which I think suited their music style really well!! They looked so cute and happy, it made me smile so much watching them, and it's hard for girl groups to do that to me, so yayie to them ig lmao. More than the cute style, I like the concept of girl crush, so I guess that pretty much explains it. If it was overly cutesy I don't think I would have enjoyed listening and watching them, but since it was all balanced well, it really took me away with a smile.

doom doom ta 🦋 - tri.be

the introduction to this music video was enough to have me interested in them, and oh look girl crush!! They kept me on my toes watching it, while it reminded me of red velvet for the guns used and 2ne1 for the strong girl crush vibes they had. That's like 2 powerful group styles put into one, making it such a masterpiece of a debut. The way each one of them danced had me in awe for each member put in so much power into the dance and made it look so gorgeous!! "Tri.be be the loca" - send help, I can't get over this TT I also have to mention how much I loved their rap breakdown, these rappers are so freaking cool, I replayed their parts way too much and I'm still not getting over it. Rappers have a soft spot in my heart, and these girls are making me go wild over them. But the main vocalist had my heart as well, tbh everyone had my heart, there's no choosing when it comes to tri.be. they choose you and that's it. Their comeback rub-a-dum is something you might like, give it a listen if you haven't already ^^

special mention : enhypen's given taken 🦋

iyah 🦋 - kang seung-yoon (winner)

this was one solo debut I had been looking forward to for the entirely of me being an inner circle. Yoon is literally the last member of winner to make a solo debut, and to me it was the best out of all. Iyah or child is a song I personally took to my heart for all the emotions he expressed staying in the limelight and feeling so pressured from everything made him feel. I particularly liked his lyric that meant - I'm still a child in my mom's eye. I almost cried listening to him and I couldn't be happier for him to finally be able to make a debut and istg the entire album is a mood. There was not one song that I disliked, it was so precious from the first track way upto the last, it was perfection in itself. His voice has always made me feel some type of way, and ah an entire album with his voice as the main factor really hit me hard in the feels. Me being an inner circle definitely had to write a review blog, and if you're interested you could read it here. I just love leadernim so much :((

waterfall 🦋 - b.i

another solo I was largely anticipating this year was hanbin's solo. I still how much I cried when the news of him leaving ikon had reached my ears, like what would a group do without their main lyricist, composer and mainly their leader? And I seriously was feeling so bad for hanbin, like he was all alone, and me being an ikonic always searched for pictures and often found stuffs saying he was at the beach looking sad and now that I think about it, his solo debut waterfall must have come from all the experiences he has had to go through after leaving his brothers. Now he is all on his own, and no, I'm not sad anymore, I just feel so proud of him that he decided to come back to the industry and do what he always did. Create masterpieces. This entire album, just like Yoon's page album, had me go through various rides of emotions, while one song made me tear up, another song brought in hype, he definitely knows how to play with my emotions ksks. Well, you must have expected this but yes I did review b.i's album as well which you can check out here.

ribbon 🦋 - bambam (got7)

my boi made a solo debut ahhh. Got7 are my ult group and anything they do seriously makes me feel like I'm flying above the clouds, always! I know how Jay B and Yugyeom made solo debuts as well, but something about ribbon had me addicted. Maybe it was because little bambamie sang or it could also be because I dint expect this type of song released by him. When it's bambam its always party vibes, and this song really exceeded my expectations. The entire music video and just him dancing and all the visuals were so so pretty, and he sounded so good and looked so happy which in turn made me feel so comfortable watching him on screen. Well it's bambam afterall, he knows what he's doing and this fashionista went to a whole different style which I looooved with all my heart. It is one catchy song for the chorus seems to keep repeating itself in my head. I couldn't have asked more from this boi, he literally slayed his debut!! *cries in proud ahgase* *dabs hard*

on the ground 🦋 - rosè (blackpink)

this list feels filled with yg artists, but mwah, we love talented artists coming from the best place skks (not at me being a yg stan, but istg they're talented af). To be vvv honest, I wasn't really vibing to this song when I first heard it and was like meh, not my style. And literally me a week later, sings and dances and binge watches all of her stages. Rose effect ig lmao. Her voice just randomly dragged me into liking this song and now I think I was just being lame to not like it on my first listen. I enjoyed watching all her stage performances and gone is such a good song as well?! rose's voice is like one of the most unique ones I've heard in such a long time after park bom (2ne1), like voices like theirs always tends to give me goosebumps! I think Rose did amazingly well and I know how nervous she was, but look at her go!! She slayed all the stages and her live vocals attacked me a lot as well. I can't wait to listen to more coming from this princess, she'd for sure awe me more the next time she comes back.

rose 🦋 - d.o (exo)

my ultimate bias decided to drop this album, and thus I decided to drop my life/j. But fr, I haven't been so excited, but maybe it's because he is one of my ults that i couldn't really control my emotions and feelings when I heard he was making a solo debut. This man literally has one of the best voice, best acting skills, best laugh, best smile, best heart shaped lips, best everything. He is perfection himself, no one can tell me otherwise. Kyungsoo doing acoustic or r & b style music is a lifestyle. This entire album, starting from the teasers to the highlight medley had me cry each day until the song dropped and yes that was the end of me. His entire album was pure gold, so enchanting mainly his song featuring wonstein, it's taken over my playlist! What I loved about Rose was his voice and how he acted when he went for the high pitch tune, sitting in that cafe just enjoying his coffee when the entire place was being destroyed by gangsters, lmao I laughed so hard. It almost felt like he was promoting his head phones, like when you put it on, you won't know what's going on around you. No, bad idea, he was literally cycling on the road without even looking at the sides while just enjoying to the song (well who wouldn't love listening to kyungsoo all day). But not taking that into count, I was so pleased listening to his entire album and just swaying listening to the songs. Well, album review, coming soon XD
