B.A.P 'Ego' Unboxing + Review

I know it's late, but I haven't seen any unboxing blog for B.A.P's 8th single album 'Ego', so I thought why not do it, now that my album has arrived, and I thought it would be nice to post it on Himchan's birthday.

This is my first unboxing blog on KA, and I'm not sure how it'll go, so I hope you'll bear with me. Let's get right into it!

         The format of this album is pretty simple,

          and it's quite easy to store. Inside, it's just

         the CD on one side, and the photobook on

         the other. As simple as it is, I think that si-

         mpleness is it's charm. I personally love

         the group photo on the front cover and al-

         so the little tracklist on the back.

         The CD is simple enough, blue with "HAN-

         DS UP" written in black. I'm not a very big

         fan of this shade of blue but it does have

         a nice effect.

Photobook

        Here's the front of the photobook, with one

        more group photo that I love. I really like t-

        he dark shades they went with for this alb-

        um. The first 2 pages in the photobook are

        shiny black and idk why I'm mentioning t-

        his, I just like black okay. Now, on to the in-

        side of the photobook. I tried to put in as

        many pictures as I could even though, of

         course, I couldn't put everything.

         (Little note : I tried my best but I'm so sorry

        about the light reflecting on the pages)

         They all look so good. That lip piercing on

          Daehyun was the best idea ever. Each and

         every single member looked flawless for t-

          his comeback and I think this has becom-

         e my favorite era of B.A.P. As soon as I op-

         ened the photobook, there was this picture

         of Yongguk staring so deeply at the camera

         and I wasn't ready- you can't imagine how

         I was internally screaming while flipping t-

         hese pages. Oh also, I forgot to mention t-

         hat, there are 2 groups photos in the photo-

         book and they're the same as the front co-

         ver and the photobook cover itself. Anywa-

         ys, I especially loved the second photosh-

         oot (the one with paler clothes) of Jongup

          and Youngjae.

         Once again, I apologize for the quality of t-

         hese pictures, especially if you can't read

          the lyrics, picsart really ruined the quality.

         And I got a Daehyun photocard! I feel so l-

         ucky to have gotten my bias for this first

          B.A.P album that I bought. And I just love

         this picture in general, Daehyun in a fluffy

          jacket and a lip piercing is life, so let's m-

          ove on already!

Review

         What is even a side track to B.A.P. Al-

         though 'Hands Up' remains my favor-

         ite from this album, all 3 songs could

          have served as title track. The amou-

         nt of effort they put into every single

         song of this album definitely shows,

         and I feel like these songs should ha-

         ve more recognition than they do so

         I'm making this b the hope that

         more people will get to know them.

         MV ⋆ Lyrics ⋆ Live ⋆ Dance Practice

         This song starts off pretty strongly

         with the "Go. Hands Up" and the hy-

         pe music. I really like its instrumen-

         tal, as well as the rock feel that it g-

         ave in some places. The trap elem-

         ent added a really nice touch, they

         weren't a lot, but they were still the-

         re. The first things which stood out

         to me were Daehyun's vocals and

         Yongguk's rap, which sounded even

         better with the background vocals.

          Himchan's soft vocals went along

         with the instrumental so well and I

         was not expecting it, considering t-

         he powerful music.

          Personally, I loved this song, I know

         some people found ot lacking in a f-

         ew ways. It might lack a bit of variety,

         it might not be super catchy and mi-

         ght not get stuck in your head or ev-

         en stand out as unique from first lis-

         ten. But it's a song that grows on you.

         B.A.P has set their own bar so high,

          and even though this is not my favo-

         rite song of them, it's definitely a so-

         a song that I will listen to again and

         again.

-Moondance-

Lyrics ⋆ Live

         Moondance goes more into the R&B

          and slower side. The transitions bet-

         eween singing and rapping are done

         so smoothly and once again, the ea-

         sy flowing vocals are to be praised.

          As much as 'Hands Up' tried to bring

          back the old B.A.P vibe, I think 'Moo-

         ndance' just gives off this typical B.-

         A.P' aura, and I couldn't associate it

         with any other artist. I loved Yonggu-

         k's rap part but Zelo's one went a litt-

         le hard on my ears and I thought they

          could have made it fit better.

-Think Hole-

Lyrics

         This song has the tropical/EDM vibe,

          one of the most popular genres these

         days, coming close to American pop.

          It starts off well with the nice instrum-

         ental, but I found the vocals kind of m-

         essy at first, like they were just experi-

         menting with the melody, but it gets b-

         etter once it reaches the "falling falling

         falling for you". I got used to it after a

          few listens though. This love song bui-

         lds up to the chorus nicely, the chorus

          consisting of beats which do not seem

         very powerful, but still have their own

         charm.

I wish you a very happy birthday and I hope that you'll continue going forward, achieving your dreams and improving yourself continuously.
